I went to the supermarket to buy a loaf of bread,
I wanted a fresh-baked white but I got a stale wholemean instead.
I queued for eleven hours. I saw the sun set and rise,
'cause there was only one till open out of a possible twenty-five.

I went to a drinking fountain, hoping to quench my thirst,
But the flow slowed to a trickle because the waterpipe had burst.
I asked for a glass of water. I had a receipt for my patronage,
But they told me, "Nowt comes free",
And pointed me towards a Coke ad-covered fridge.

But we're doing fine. Yeah.

I went to the supermarket to get some cheap food that had reached,
Its best before, but it was all in the bins out back,
Kicked to shit and covered in bleach.
I got on a bus to Standish but I got kicked off at The Boar's Head,
I had to walk the rest of the way,
Just picking at a loaf of stale, wholemeal bread.

I wanted to go to Dom's but the pavement outside my house,
Had been bought up by Monsanto, so I get taxed whenever I go out.
I wanted an education, I got a degree and I got in debt.
My hindsight's 20/20, I should have got it free on the internet.

I needed a pin in my leg but they told me it'd cost a mint.
I wrapped it up with a bunch of old t shirts,
And a broken chair leg for a splint.

Solo stuff because I hate everyone who's not me. A lot of my lyrics reflect this, as well my hatred for me.
Punk that's a little bit metal and electronic shit that's a little bit punk. A few raps and some experimental nonsense. Add the odd bit of synth-pop and you have the recipe for something that no one but you will ever listen to.
