In 2019, I had the pleasure of mixing a song for Disillusion's album “The Liberation,” which gave me access to the pre-release versions of all the other songs. And with “The Great Unknown” in particular, I knew I definitely wanted to do something with it...
At first, I only had an idea of how it should feel. Deep, heavy, slow, a touch of melancholy, powerful, hopeful, modern, electric...  
something like that. 

I quickly had a few fragments that had exactly this depth.   
However, then began a crazy journey  through ever-changing tempos, time signatures, and keys...
I think my first version was 9 or 10 minutes long...
later, I decided to radically shorten my remix. 

Here is the instrumental version of the remix. As always, the original is available on all streaming services.
