Performing at Splendour in The Grass was an experience we're not going to forget in a hurry for so many reasons. Despite cancelled & delayed flights, a flooded festival site and a broken tooth, we made it to North Byron Parklands in the nick of time to play a closing set of House & Breaks to a muddy yet happy dance floor.

Sweat Dreams was born on a dance floor on Wadawurrung Country in 2016. Jules and Daz celebrate their shared love of music by creating genre-defying mixes drawing from House, Techno, Breaks,Deep/Dark Disco, Balearic, Arabic Electronica and EBM. Connecting with people through music and contributing towards a strong dance community is their passion. As well as throwing their own parties under the banner of ‘Sweat Dreams Presents’, their reputation as party starters and track selectors has seen them invited to play at festivals and venues in Naarm and beyond. When they’re not mixing, you can find them on the dance floor.

Tilt Shift is an Event Brand Managed and Curated by Melbourne Artist @the-stockholm-syndrome

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

Haven't  mixed in a bit, the recent move from Wadawurrung to Yugambeh Country has given me a different perspective on the music I play, the sun is always out here. I've created a mix that I feel matches that vibe.

This is the first instalment  in a new short format (30min) mix series by Daz (Dromornis). Less focused on the dance floor, this series is dedicated to the lower tempo tracks that I love, but wouldn't normally get a chance to play.

Mind Massage 01/06/2025

On a foggy night, the renowned magician Harry Kellar strolled through the dimly lit streets, his silhouette barely discernible against the swirling mist. The air was thick with mystery, much like the illusions he crafted on stage. As he walked, the soft crunch of gravel underfoot was the only sound breaking the silence, punctuated by the occasional flicker of a streetlamp. Cloaked in his signature top hat and coat, he felt a kinship with the fog, both concealing and revealing in equal measure. With each step, he pondered the magic of the night, where reality blurred with the fantastical, and the secrets of his craft seemed to whisper from the shadows, inviting him to conjure wonders anew.

Saturday 19th October 2019 we said goodbye to Karova Lounge.
It has always been a special place for us, the first nightclub gig for Daz almost 12 years ago, it was where Jules and Daz met for the first time, and shared their first 'Disco Pash'.
It was also the place where the idea for what would become Sweat Dreams was conceived.
But most importantly, it was somewhere where many, many people could meet, dance and feel safe.
This mix although a touch messy at times perfectly sums up the night, slightly dishevelled, at times chaotic, full of love and a hell of a lot of fun.
Including an impromptu 10 minute mashies takeover by Gaz from Yacht Club DJs around the 1:04 mark.
We're gonna miss you Karova, the best crowd and the best staff.
