I am pleased to present an evolution or possibly a detour in the music of Dronf.  As usual, it is all electronic and all recorded from a modular synth, but now I am also using my voice as a complex modulation source, otherwise known as vocoding, also known as singing.

A Thousand Lies

Hi.  I present another pair of songs for you.  GONE is a beautiful bummer of a song, I know, but it's something I had to get out of my system.  It's also an affirmation that I'll keep making music for as long as possible.  ZEITGEIST is an instrumental that makes me feel like when I first heard Aphex Twin's Alberto Balsalm.  I'm only using my computer to make music nowadays in order to work faster.  I still used the modular synth for vocoding duties, of course!  I have more songs lined up just waiting for me to record the vocals.   Are you ready?

Gone

A few weeks ago, I decided to record my first cover song. I chose Björk's All Is Full of Love and finished it in a few days. It was awesome and inspiring as I dug into her composition. My respect for her has only deepened. I did my best to do her song justice. I hope you agree!
