Deuxième extrait des 1h d'enregistrement d'hier.
Toujours avec l'ARP 2500 et certains périphériques. Aucune séquence ne c'est envolé durant cette session car, le séquenceur est pour le moment en plein nettoyage aux niveaux de ces contacts.

Composition inspired by Drew Neumann's work for the TV series Aeon Flux. Created in the year 2003. Never released.

Crush The Envelope

This entire cue was done with only one synthesizer--an actual Yamaha CS80. All melodic and percussive sounds (even the kick) were done on a real CS. For the drum kit, the CS was sampled and loaded into Kontakt. It was multitracked to Digital Performer, and there are 47 stereo tracks in the mix. 
  I spent a year of on and off working on restoring this infernal machine, so I thought it was time to actually write something for it. Normally, I wouldn't want to do an entire cue with just one synth, because that one instrument's character often overwhelms the mix (sort of like doing a symphony for 48 clarinets and nothing else). The CS80 is an instrument with a very broad, expressive range. There is a vague futility in doing pure synth cues these days, especially with a monster like this machine, so the proper name for this piece of music is:

Hello, my name is Markus, I was born in 65 Geneva Switzerland but my origins are german, so some life time past. 
I learnt piano with different teacher, and  throught conservatoire, and between on my own using my ears.

Enjoyed a lot tweaking keyboards and synths throughout the eighties, were I used a long list of gear, bought and sold for a part.
 like listen to the music from that time and before, favourite seventies, and eighties.

 then also played here and there with different regular pop and rock bands.
 
Couldn't stop to love great Synthesizer, and I experimenting with several machines, 
even when most of them became a lot more virtual today, it was fantastic to get back to all these old clones of unaccessible hardware.

However this my music under the name of horizons that should be less common even if I try to keep a harmonic, like melodic edge along with some more experimental investigations. 
I recorded or composed on time, there is an album called "Dreams of the Maiden", you can check or listen to.
