The single "Death by the Pool" starts with The SoulSpinner - The Shaman - jamming, setting a blurred image of a sunset coloring the sky in pastels, and the still water in the pool reflecting the deep-seated melancholy in the song's protagonist, and vocalist, Skybound Misfit's heart. He weaves together thoughts of the transient with the eternal, with a melody and a fierce guitar that tugs at the strings, trying to break free - and embracing the listener in a tight, emotional grip, as The SoulSpinner eventually sings out his mantra about Jesus's return and about those who are hidden away.
Each verse in "Death by the Pool" explores the contradictions of existence - light and dark, beginning and end, surface and depth. As a humble acknowledgment of his own vulnerability, he sings about how every end is a new beginning, and every goodbye contains the hope of a new meeting, a contrast that is a fundamental theme in my works.
The pool becomes a symbol of the immovable, the fixed point in time where he can stop and look back on the tracks he has left behind. In this song, he finds peace in chaos, and even in the face of the end - a metaphorical "death by the pool" - at the swimming pool, which is considered a place of relaxation and happiness, he finds an acceptance of his fate, that flows through the words and melodies.
"Death by the Pool" is not just a song; it is a chapter that reveals a deeper truth about life and death, about knowing one's place in the world while simultaneously realizing how little one truly knows.
The song builds on the complex and sometimes chaotic and dramatic soundscape between life and death - and contributes to the narrative of this neurotic, but sincere main character who seeks meaning and understanding, and who ultimately finds a kind of peace in the inevitable.

DEATH BY THE POOL (Radio Edit)

"Anchored to Your Ghost" conveys a landscape of emotional complexities—being tethered to haunting memories or lingering emotions that hold one back. It suggests a paradox of stability and limitation; you're secure but unable to move, held by something as intangible yet impactful as a "ghost."
Adding the lyrics, "I see you standing / Alone in the rain / Want to ask you / Why so much pain," provides a narrative layer to this emotional tableau. These lines speak to the experience of seeing someone you care about in a state of suffering, perhaps further intensifying the sense of being "anchored" to their emotional state, or "ghost."
The following lines, "Want to comfort you / Hold you tight / Want to stay with you / This lonely night," reflect a desire to provide emotional support, perhaps to relieve both parties of their 'ghosts.' Yet, even this intent to provide comfort can be seen as another form of anchoring—tying you to a moment, to an emotional state, or to a person.
"As I'm holding you / Clouds drifts away / Only the moonlight has something to say," these lines introduce a transformative element. The act of holding seems to dissipate some of the emotional clouds, suggesting that perhaps being 'anchored' isn't always negative if it leads to some form of emotional resolution or clarity.
"It is getting better and better / Just the way it is / Hear the moonlight song tonight," these concluding lines propose that sometimes, remaining 'anchored' can offer its own form of progression or even healing. It's as though the moonlight song offers a harmonizing counterpoint to the haunting 'ghost,' suggesting that even when anchored, movement—emotional, spiritual, or relational—is still possible.
The phrase "Anchored to Your Ghost" encapsulates a complex emotional experience of being held back or tethered to past emotions or situations. The lyrics add depth to this concept by weaving in the themes of emotional turmoil, the longing for comfort, and the potential for change or improvement. Together, they paint a vivid picture of the challenges and opportunities inherent in being "anchored" emotionally, offering a nuanced view of how difficult yet potentially transformative it can be to navigate the emotional seas we find ourselves in.

Brunno Brazilian DJ and producer, starts his new project "DROPDEXX" is an electronic music artist, he breathes music 24 hours a day. Since he was a child, he has always had electronic music as fuel in the trajectory of his life. He always accompanied his DJ friends at parties in the city of São Paulo, until he took the initiative to become a DJ. In 2013 he started his career as a DJ, playing at friends' parties and showing his potential, he soon started playing in the main electronic music clubs in the country. And so he gained space in the electronic music scene, soon he set up his first studio and started his musical productions. Today, his biggest inspirations are Tech House and House (with melodic mix) . You can find some of his works on music streaming platforms.

Brunno DJ e produtor brasileiro, inicia seu novo projeto "DROPDEXX" é um artista de música eletrônica, respira música 24 horas por dia. Desde criança sempre teve a música eletrônica como combustível na trajetória de sua vida. Sempre acompanhou seus amigos DJs em festas na cidade de São Paulo, até que tomou a iniciativa de se tornar DJ. Em 2013 iniciou sua carreira como DJ, tocando em festas de amigos e mostrando seu potencial, logo começou a tocar nos principais clubes de música eletrônica do país. E assim foi ganhando espaço no cenário da música eletrônica, logo montou seu primeiro estúdio e iniciou suas produções musicais. Hoje, suas maiores inspirações são o Tech House e o House (com mix melódico). Você pode encontrar alguns de seus trabalhos nas plataformas streaming de música.
