Gala of the Gone, Halloween at the House of Yes 2019. A House mix of some deep, spooky,  and tech. This is the first time I have dropped the "Chicken in the Kitchen"

Boyyyish is NYC based DJ Sebastian Villa. Not a boy not yet a man, just a DJ. He is a member of the DJ trio Love Prism which throws a monthly queer dance party at 3 Dollar Bill and right next door at Newtown Radio he hosts a weekly show "Breakfast with Boyyyish." His passion for the living history of dance music, particularly New York City and its queer POC roots, is evident in his sound that's deeply rooted in the past. An avid member of NY nightlife he is very fortunate to regularly perform and work for nightlife legends like Susanne Bartsch and Christina Visca. Keep your eye out on the dancefloor or in the booth because he's likely to be there!

"These last few months have been rough, especially for people like myself who work in the music industry where I'm either on tour or in nightclubs. Yes, it sucks, but rather than wallow I turn to work and have found an incredible new digital world in which to operate in. Before Corona hit I had just started an online radio show so I serendipitously was prepared for what unfolded over the last two months. Armed with webcams, green screens, lights and my mixer I've been lucky to keep doing what I love albeit in a new virtual space, one that I get to control and shape. With that came this amazing new freedom I discovered. No longer constrained by the genres I was usually expected to play or fit the party vibes I could suddenly let loose as an avatar. I've been able to experiment with different genres and maybe because I"m now playing at home just feeling a bit more deeper and relaxed even switching up my mixing style and creating more layered sounds. More importantly I've been excited by other artists and their creative solutions to this time. Even though we are at home I can now experience DJs all over the world at the click of a button and I've been absorbing so much lately. I've also tried to include as much music I found on bancamp as well to keep the support going to independent artists as well. To create art we have to constantly adapt and make do with whatever tools we are given and while it may not seem like it now I believe this time is a gift."
