For thousands of years, the Indian Ocean has been home to a variety of seafaring peoples with ancestral knowledge, beliefs and rituals linked to death, the genies of the forest and the oceans.
The Vahoaka "people of the sea
These sailors criss-crossed the oceans to conquer new territories. These men and women warriors sail with the seasons, the winds and the stars. Accompanied by an uncertain tomorrow and universes at different levels folded into a multiple reality.
In the soubik are a few roots, dried fish and a knowledge that is still present in our society, passed down through the pain and the sounds.
Sometimes you can hear these tales singing when you listen to the lapping of the waves, the blowing of the south wind, the dense mist of the forests high up in the Inner Kingdom, but above all in the tales of the elders.

The project takes the future Maloya sound to another level with multi-levels of electronic sounds built upon the ternary beats of Maloya with its eclectic array of percussions from around the globe . Brace yourself before stepping into a world that is a reflection of a globalised world with no borders. A world that you will not recognise but at the same time you should be mindful of not getting lost in.
