Arriving at Terra Nova after navigating through dual black holes, the KehrForce crew faces technological failure. Resorting to basic survival and agriculture, they form a society rooted in sustainability and community. A constitution emphasizing ecological harmony is drafted. The first Terra Novan generation grows, blending old wisdom with new values. To symbolize the mission's end and a new beginning, the original crew plants a tree.

"In every end, there is a new beginning," is declared by a small sign at the three, encapsulating their journey from Earth's brink to a hopeful future on Terra Nova.

"Flight of Light" chronicles the dramatic shift in Inge's world as the idyllic life she knew in Book 1 becomes overshadowed by the growing influence of the Nazi regime.  Inge and her siblings are drawn into the activities of the Hitler Youth and League of German Girls, experiencing a strange mix of camaraderie,  newfound responsibilities, and subtle indoctrination.

The innocence of childhood games and explorations gives way to a more structured and ideological environment.  Inge faces internal conflict as she grapples with the disharmony between the values instilled by her family and the increasingly rigid expectations of the regime.

The book portrays the subtle ways in which ordinary people are drawn into the machinery of a totalitarian system.  The music for Book 2 mirrors this internal and external conflict,  expressing the emotional turmoil of a nation on the brink of war and a family struggling to maintain its values in the face of overwhelming change.

The music echoes this struggle, offering a poignant soundtrack to a pivotal chapter in Inge's life. Sometimes it’s not so easy to go your own way. I know that from my own experience. It’s very rare that the people around us stand in our way. For me, it was my own beliefs that I carried into adulthood, shaped by my childhood experiences and upbringing. Ultimately, this led me down paths that ended in dead ends. I probably could have avoided many wrong turns if I had recognized earlier what was preventing me from following my own path. But sometimes it’s not that simple. That’s what inspired me to write this instrumental.
