Berlin-based ZentaSkai presents ‘The Architecture Of The Mind LP’, the debut album on MASK. We premiere ‘Structural Understanding’, a stripped-back house groove that leans on dub traditions and chilling hazy atmospheres.

ZentaSkai undertook a period of research into the underlying structure and organisation of the human brain before writing ‘The Architecture Of The Mind’. The Berlin-based artist then took what had been learned and kept it in mind when writing the music that marks Mask’s first album release. It comes with extensive background notes on each track, and an operational manual of sorts – notes from the artists as to the effects each piece will have on those who hear them.

“The message conveyed by this album is that life itself is filled with music, but our egos often prevent us from being in harmony with this symphony. Inner chaos and silence can be challenging to bear, leading us to seek solace in external noise. We have constructed a barrier between our inner and outer worlds, causing us to lose touch with the rhythm of harmony. However, by embracing the illusion of separation and dancing to good music, we can rediscover harmony with ourselves and our environment. To fully experience the essence of the album, it should be played loudly on a proper sound system or high-quality headphones. By immersing themselves in the music, individuals can engage with its transformative power and potentially find a deeper connection with their own minds and surroundings.” – ZentaSkai.

We premiere ‘Structural Understanding’, a dubby house groove straight from the soul, as ZentaSkai leans on wandering dub chords and smoke-filled pads. The layed back rhythm is laced with crisp 909 percussive swing and reverb-soaked soundscapes, creating a lush dancefloor cut, that is made for early morning swaying.

Munich-based Techno producer and DJ, SYLK. @sylk-techno
Driven by warm sounds, fast-paced rhythms, dark atmosphere, and a grain of 90's
nostalgia, his music is sure to evoke both movement and deep emotions. While his
productions have already found a home on labels such as Trau-ma, Voidware and
Koncept, he is paving the way for the artistic direction of his imprint label SLK. Needless to
say, his forthcoming vinyl debut is something to look forward to.

Cosmic is an Italian DJ based in Amsterdam. His sets are a captivating fusion of hypnotic sounds and fast groovy rhythms,
 capturing the attention of anyone on the dancefloor. His musical selections take the audience on an exciting adventure. In 2023,
 collaborating with his own group, he founded Fornax Collective (of which he is DJ Resident) with the aim of making a contribution to the techno scene.

STK is a DJ and promoter from Gozo, Malta, who's been making a name for himself ever since he started DJing in August 2022. His journey up to now has seen him feature for the likes of waX, Glitch Club Series, Glitch Festival, and Dalma Festival.

His style encapsulates a blend of old-school hardgroove and contemporary groove techno, rich with pace, percussions, and hypnotic features. STK generally draws inspiration from the groove techno scene in Amsterdam and at home - fused with elements of House, Ghetto-Funk, and 90s hip-hop.
