Defined by a rigorous study of acoustic drums and modular synthesizer and the obsession with field recordings used to shake sounds into a new electronic identity, Æmris is a new profile in the Italian techno scene.

Keeping experimental techno as core genre, scrapes of electro, techno, acid rave, and EBM including New Wave influences are added to the mix.

Æmris is fully immersed in the dynamism offered by the most genuine Mediterranean techno, resulting in smooth and contemporary productions. 

Influenced by UK Birmingham techno school and, he is also developing a gloomy modular live set ready to storm out any dancefloor.

Despite his young age, Æmris holds a residency at Kode_1 Club, Sharing the deck with, Legowelt, Lena Willikens, Tessela, Throwing Snow, Mount Kimbie, Koreless, Moiré, Z.I.P.P.O, Airhead, Nick Williams, Ayarcana, and coming soon with other artists like 999999999, Silent Servant, Ancient Methods, Ugandan Methods, Blawan, AnD, Spencer Parker, Boston 168, Fabrizio Rat, Melania, Reeko.  

In 2017 he founds Sional Records, an independent label, through which he will to promote new music and new artists of the international techno scene.

How are you?

I’m Catalina, or better known as Katia. I was born in Colombia where I developed my passion for music since I was little. My path as a DJ began a little more than 3 years ago. I currently live in Madrid hoping to take my career to another level and be able to launch myself as a producer very soon.


How would you describe your mix?

 With this mix i wanted to represent my deepest, darkest and most hypnotic side; driving a curve where definitely what predominates are the atmospheres above the speed. I selected tracks that characterizes me, from several of my favorite producers of the moment, and that perfectly reflects all the emotions that I like to create during my sets.

Which DJs & producer are inspiring, according to you?

 I’m constantly discovering new producers and DJs so the list is getting bigger and bigger... Artistically, I greatly admire Stef Mendesidis’ live signature and D Dan as a DJ in terms of musical selection... I also want to highlight producers like Orbe, Luigi Tozzi, Seddig, Valentino Mora and Save your Toll who have a sound that defines me quite well.


What was your best moment on stage ?
 I have two moments very present in my head. The first is definitely when I went to Lisbon with the NAV collective. The people there were very warm and they made me feel very comfortable in the dj booth…I think it is the gig where I have enjoyed and connected with the public the most. On the other hand, I was recently able to share a b2b with a great friend of mine…. I have that memory very present in my heart.
