Here's a sample of the music I did for the film VALEDICTORIAN. The film is the story of a young man that slowly walks away from his life in New York and fades into the background of the city over the course of a year. It's split up into 12 scenes, one for each month, and my task was to score a short piece of music to mark each passing month. Here's the music I did for July.

JULY (VALEDICTORIAN FILM SCORE)

A couple folks have asked about hearing the rest of this soundtrack I put together a couple years ago for a film called Valedictorian. Pretty minimal stuff. The idea was to make a short piece of music for interludes between each scene, representing the passage of each month of the year. I enjoyed making this and hope to do more film work down the line.

This one is from January 2011 around the same time as a few of the EP songs. it's not exactly finished, the lyric is rough, but I still enjoy what it is and eventually this song lead to other tunes on the EP and on Shields that I'm happy with. It's a wintery New York song to me, it reminds me of home. And at this particular moment I miss home, and I feel like I should be there after all that's happened recently. So there it is.
