Drozďo & Demex – this is a synonym for purposefulness and diligence in the world of DJing and electronic dance music. These two sympathetic guys come from the heart of Slovakia from Martin and their common music production bas brought them among the top of electronic dance music scene in Slovakia.

Initially, each of them performed and produced songs under their own brand, but today they are the inseparable and popular tandem of DJs and music producers. Matej Drozdi alias Drozďo and Jakub Misik alias Demex, began to collaborate on joint activities in 2012. Later, they discovered that their musical projects had been successful and that 2016 was a breakthrough for them. Then they decided to release the summer dance single “It’s You” under one brand Drozďo & Demex and it was a great success.

Influences

Drozďo & Demex say they are not influenced by any particular artist but rather find inspiration in modern dance trends ruling in the music world. From the very beginning, they wanted to do their own and quality things. They both appreciate artists such as: Armin Van Buuren, Don Diablo or Kygo with their timeless compositions. Their goal is also to be modern and timeless, and this is the biggest challenge for them in the future. It is also the main reason for their work to cross the borders of Slovakia. It is not possible to list all their favourites because the list would be very long. This list does not include only the names of electronic dance music, but also other music styles that have their charm and show them other possibilities for their musical production. They both always want their song to have a nice melody and a certain message.

In the past, their music was supported by publishers who collaborated with such well-known names as Nicky Romero, Hardwell, Steve Aoki and many others.
