Over the past decade, guitarist Trey Wright and vocalist Laura Coyle have established themselves as first-call musicians on the the Atlanta jazz scene. They joined forces in 2017 to form the Laura Coyle and
Trey Wright Duo. United by their love of classic jazz pairings including Joe Pass and Ella Fitzgerald and Tuck and Patti, the duo performs a unique repertoire of jazz standards, Brazilian music and
contemporary songs by their favorite songwriters. On any given night, the duo plays an entertaining and eclectic mix of music by Cole Porter, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Hoagy Carmichael, Dolly Parton and JoniMitchell.

Laura Coyle has been a featured performer twice at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, her quintet launched the Larry Rosen Jazz Roots series at the Cobb Energy Centre, and she’s a guest vocalist with Joe Gransden’s Big Band. Laura has shared the stage with Johnny O’Neal and Audrey Shakir and she’s played venues from the High Museum to the Velvet Note, Eddies Attic, The Savannah Music Festival and The Jazz Corner in Hilton Head. Laura began her study of music privately while pursuing her career as an illustrator for Papyrus, Hallmark, Target, and many other brands. In her 10 years as a musician she’s
released two CDs under her name, received international airplay and become a favorite among musicians and jazz fans near and far. Peter Merrett, of PBS Melbourne Australia remarked, “A stunning
voice, wonderful phrasing on these classic standards breathing new life into every word.”

In the mid 1990’s Trey Wright co-founded the Athens/Atlanta based jazz band Squat, a six-time winner of Best Jazz Band at the Flagpole Athens Music Awards. In addition to performing at the Atlanta Jazz
Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz A Vienne, the Festival of International Theatre in Casablanca, and the World Sacred Music Festival in Bangalore, India, Trey has performed or recorded with Yellowjackets bassist Jimmy Haslip, John Patitucci, Dave Weckl, Joe Lovano, Corey Christiansen and Darmon Meader of the New York Voices. As a composer, Trey’s music has been heard on NPR’s All Things Considered and his most recent Blue Canoe Records releases Thinking Out Loud and Songs From Oak Avenue have been
featured as part of Delta Airlines In-Flight entertainment. In addition, Trey is a Senior Lecturer of Jazz Studies at Kennesaw State University.

The duo has performed at the Athens Jazz Festival, the Roswell Arts Festival, Morgan Hall at Kennesaw State University, Agnes Scott College, Hendershots in Athens, Churchill Grounds Jazz Sessions at Mason Tavern, and the Columbus Jazz Society concert series at The Loft.

Bobby Torres Bio
From New York City, to Woodstock with Joe Cocker, through ten years of touring with Tom Jones, to forming his own Latin jazz group in Portland, Bobby Torres has been on the music scene for over 40 years.

Besides performing as a percussionist, Bobby is a record producer, songwriter, percussion instructor, session musician and band leader.
On April 30, 2016, Bobby was given the Jazz Journalist’s Association Jazz Hero Award. This award is given to advocates, altruists, activists, aiders and abettors of jazz who have had significant impact in their local communities. On September 11, 2015, Bobby performed with the Tadeschi Trucks band to a crowd of over 25,000 people at the Lockin’ Festival in Virginia. This concert was a tribute to Joe Cocker and featured many of the original members of Mad Dogs & Englishmen. See the full Tribute to Joe Cocker at this link. On August 24, 2009, Time Magazine published “Woodstock, How Does it Sound 40 Years Later?” an article which included a photo of Bobby in performance on stage with Joe Cocker at Woodstock along with the Mad Dogs & Englishmen. On May 4th of 2009, Bobby performed for Archbishop Desmond Tutu before his adoring crowd of over 4,800 people. And, later that same year, Bobby was inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. The formal ceremony, which included fellow inductees Terry Robb, Dan Balmer and others, was October 17, 2009 at the Roseland Theater. 

A versatile musician, Bobby was nominated for “Outstanding Percussionist” – a Muddy Waters Award – as a result of his work performing with Le Bon, Craig Caruthers, The Dan Reed Network, Curtis Salgado, Lloyd Jones and Linda Hornbuckle – all local R&B and Blues Musicians who developed national and international reputations of their own.

Backroad to Brooklyn is a duo composed of two “blue-eyed soul” singers, Emily Selleck and Ian Michael
Bruh. The name is a nod to the singers’ backgrounds—Ian grew up in Coney Island Brooklyn, and Emily
was raised in rural North Florida. Despite these vastly different upbringings, they share a love for music
that knows no bounds. Outside of B2B, Ian performs regularly with his 10-piece Funk &amp; Soul band,
Bumpin’ the Mango, and Emily sings with The Atlanta Showstoppers.
