This one is calmer. 
Improvisating on electric guitar and effects. Contains an initially out-of-tune 12-string. 
The scale without the third allows me to explore an ofter hidden side of the music: the rich natural harmonics of the fundamental notes. 
Sorry for the wrong notes and the blank spaces and the awkward attempts at tuning. It's a messy process, and has been all the time like that for me. maybe it is ALL a matter of tuning - or maybe it just deserves a heavy editing - I don't know yet, I'll see :)

Guitar improvisations mostly based on simple scales without a third. 
Drones with delay pedal. 
First quite chaotic, it progressively calms down, like being able to see a reflection on the surface of still water. Then again, it turns agitated. 
The aggressively 'modulating' sound of the beginning is made with a suspended contact microphone touching the guitar's body from above. 
Sorry for the occasional wrong notes.

Modal

"Processes": guitar improvisations based on simple scales, often without the "third". This allows me to explore a more neutral harmonical space, that enhances the natural harmonics of notes. I make drones with a delay pedal, and often manipulate the spectrum with the use a graphic equalizer pedal. 
My set of improvisations are based on the overall feel of frequencies and my inner feeling more than anything else. It's a freeform process, no begining, no end, no "end product" - only the urge to play the music "in the moment". May sound like a cliche, but it's true :)

Cultivating a love for momentary, improvisational, alternative forms of music, while at the same time playing in many local folk / experimental / rock music bands. 

Fell in love with "modal" guitar playing (most of all the scale without the third) listening to Ali Farka Toure. Other guitarists that I love are Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins and Robert Smith of The Cure. 

Self-taught musician, I've been playing as a guitarist, songwriter and singer since 1994. I also composed music for several stage shows and stage readings, and I've also worked in the marvelous jazz recording studio Artesuono (Stefano Amerio).
