Sal Sal is a Berlin-based Korean artist also known as Jung Inwoo. His practice
moves through the materialization of sensory experiences and imagined states,
where microtonal sound sculpting and ambiguous compositional gestures drift into
events and dynamics that slip beyond normative frameworks. Through the bodily
inhale and release of emotion and thought, his work traces moments of
interconnected awareness and solidarity. Across various projects, multi-sensory
encounters of sound, performance, and visual forms continue to unfold through his
collaborations.

q. pls introduce yourself
a. boring tables is a sound project moving between ambient, field recordings, and emotional abstraction. 

q. is there a story behind the mix?
a.Yeah, this one was recorded during a super peaceful summer day in a completely empty Rome. That rare kind of silence really shaped the whole mood. It’s a mix built on softness and emotion, the same thread that runs through the two records I released earlier this year.

q. what’s the best way to enjoy your mix?
a. I don’t think there’s any better way to listen to it than any other.
It’s definitely a mix to listen to without rushing, taking the time to do so. 

q. describe a favorite object in your living room...
a.Not the prettiest, but definitely the most essential: the piece of furniture that holds together my turntable, tape deck, CD player, and amplifier. It’s basically the heart of the room.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
a. After releasing two records on Objects & Sounds this year and playing in different places—including a tour in Japan—I’m taking some time to focus on rhizome back in Rome. And starting in January, there’s a new music-related project on the way… something I’m really excited about, but I can’t reveal it just yet.
