Progressive House is typified by stimulating peaks and troughs (highest and lowest points in energy) throughout a track's duration. Layering different sounds on top of each other and slowly bringing them in and out of the mix is a key idea behind the progressive movement. 

The melodic side of progressive house which is what my show Sounds from Above, for the most part is about, (although it can and does blend with traditional progressive house) is packed with driving rhythms and forward thinking sounds.
