Yunze Ou is a sonic exploration where nature, textures, and experimentation merge into a profound and hypnotic journey. It's the latest project from a producer who prefers to remain anonymous, but whose productions move between IDM, glitch, and ambient. With a rhythmic base that converges at low bpms and up to 170 bpm, this project interweaves elements of deep techno, ambient, and drum & bass/halftime, creating immersive and dynamic soundscapes.

“Circuits” is a 4-track journey that weaves together the raw pulse of halftime and drum & bass with the serenity of the natural world. Inspired by rural landscapes, mountain air, and open skies, the EP explores the intersection of organic and digital—where winding forest paths meet lines of code, and birdsong echoes through data streams. Each track channels a different facet of this fusion: from dense, atmospheric textures to precise, tech-driven rhythms. Circuit is both a tribute to the untouched and a meditation on the systems—natural and artificial—that shape our experience.

"Can’t Change Crazy" is the second single from Coachella performing, neo-soul talent Leo Napier’s debut EP. The remix is by Defunk. Born in the US but now a proud London Ladbroke Grove resident, you’ll recognise the versatile songwriter’s crisp vocals as featuring alongside Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon on Gramatik’s most successful single to date, Native Son. Chart topping dance act GRiZ’s electro-funk take on Before I Go Away was released by the DJ last year and has garnered millions of streams to date. This follows from their previous collaboration A Fine Way To Die which also has streams in the millions. The single from Leo’s EP ‘Mind Up’ (out Autumn 2017) premiered on Wonderland in June 2017 and has already picked up millions of Spotify streams. The EP is a collection of urban tales, a mix of classic funk/soul with hard hitting electronic rhythms produced by eclectic worldwide talents. The songs are gritty urban tales with a cast of colourful characters peppered with Leo's signature brand of dark humour. “I never planned to stick the 5 tunes together and call it an EP. But somehow these songs feel cohesive. It’s a controlled chaos. From 'V Classic' to 'Planet V' and beyond, the V Recordings camp have been scene leaders in creating era-defining, zeitgeist-capturing compilations. And, following on from the retrospective 'Foundation' project, it's now time for another chapter in the story - 'Future'



Bryan Gee, widely known as one of the most influential selectors and A&R men in the business, has taken his time to compile and curate something that's more than just another album. This is Bryan's personal vision of what's to come, not only for the V brand, but for Drum & Bass music as a whole.



Never swayed by fashions, fads and sub-genre divisions, Bryan and Jumpin Jack Frost's family of labels have been a benchmark for quality from time immemorial. So, when they call this album 'Future', that comes with authority.



For V Recordings, the future is as much about building on what's come before as it is about brand new innovations. So, we see contemporary masters like Benny L, Voltage and L-Side pay homage to the classics with remixes of Roni Size, Ray Keith, Krust and Dillinja. Artificial Intelligence go back in on their anthem 'Uprising' to give it a cutting-edge reconfiguration, and Dr Meaker's 'Fighter' gets the S.P.Y treatment.



Then there are the 2020 visions of artists from across the spectrum of Drum & Bass music. The likes of Alibi, Paul T & Edward Oberon, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, DJ Marky & Dirtbag, Bladerunner, Zero T, Command Strange, Carlito & Addiction, Jonny L & Need for Mirrors deliver darkness and light, savagery and euphoria, musicality and hype in equal measure. And that's just scratching the surface.



The future that this album sets out before us is one where pigeon-holes and categories are unimportant. Certified legends rub shoulders with breakthrough artists. Heavyweight dancefloor bangers co-exist with soulfully melodic flavours. This music is unified, not by style or by marketability, but purely by the vibe. If that's what a V Recordings future looks like, we can relax. The scene is in safe hands.
