Vibraform by Berlin-based hardware and live artist Peryl provides an analytical yet deeply instinctive view on music. It reflects the duality between flow and restraint, between self-exploration and the healthy act of setting limits. At its core lies a certain nonchalance - a refusal to act on voices and trends while maintaining full commitment to sound itself.

Meticulous sound design, unpredictable, morphing basslines and an intentional timeless aesthetic offer a rare window into Peryl’s creative state of mind. Even as he tries to sidestep personal narratives, emotions inevitably surface in the music, subtly shaping its character. The result is not a confessional piece of work, but an abstraction that remains universal rather than private, while still carrying a trace of personal truth. Four tracks that are striking a rare balance between novelty, grace and aggressive functionality, including a remix by Rødhåd, offer to find purpose in the act of believing that sooner or later art reveals a logic of its own.

The release sees Troma & PERS1, Blazej Malinowski, Téo Dréan, Nicola Dal Sacco, and 747 return to the label with new work, each interpreting acid through their own lens. Across the EP, Aquaregia’s distinct blend of emotional, hypnotic, and musically rich acid techno is assembled in a nod to the label’s foundation.

The record opens with Troma & PERS1’s Atomic, a deep and dreamlike cut filled with metallic textures and drifting movement, followed by Blazej Malinowski’s Brudnopis, sliding into a low-slung, seductive groove. On the flipside, Téo Dréan’s Honeymoon Phase injects orchestral euphoria and cinematic tension, while Nicola Dal Sacco channels vintage ‘90s hypnosis on Papaia. To close, 747’s Decades offers a reflective, bittersweet finale – a fitting coda to Aquaregia’s first ten years.

Founded in December of 2015 by Emily Nicoll, Aquaregia has built its identity around a melodic, emotional take on acid and techno. Pairing timeless club music with thoughtful, considered presentation, the label has maintained a consistent aesthetic across a decade of projects.

“In a techno scene that’s seen turbulent shifts over the years, it’s been incredibly rewarding to work with such an inspiring group of true artists,” says Nicoll. “Their deep contributions have shaped the sound Aquaregia is known for today. The label has always moved slowly, letting the music lead while exploring different textures of acid and techno. Looking back, it’s remarkable to see how these releases have connected with people, both online and on dancefloors. 10 feels like the perfect bookmark for this era.”
