Paul Ritch is back on Drumcode with his astounding new single ‘Brainwash’. Perfectly capturing the energetic, driving techno sound that Paul is capable of, ‘Brainwash’ delivers something that really engrains into the memory and leaves the dancefloor filled with vitality. On the flip side, ‘Inside Me’ is a heavily percussive rolling track that uses interesting synth hooks and stabs to create a rocking groove that creates vigour and depth that Paul’s techno represents.

<p>Label boss Sasha Carassi showcases his constant evolution in this three-track EP and &#8220;Soundsphere&#8221; kicks things off with unmistakeable, mutating stabs intertwined with haunting background synths. &#8220;Starchild&#8221; picks up from there with its rubber-band bassline and streamlined electronics, and introduces what can only be described as mutant sci-fi chords. For the closer, Mr. Carassi has put together the aptly-titled &#8220;Drop Of Soul&#8221; in which trademarked synths pave the way for nostalgic arpeggios and dissonant electronics.</p>

A 4-track EP from Bay Area producer Mesmerist, who runs the label Dionysian Mysteries.
A brief transmission of auditory memoirs, the release captures moments of euphoria, tension, and reflection in equal measure.
“Boriqua Drip” kicks things off with a ravey, pumping break that gives way to a sassy acid riff at its core. “Festival Girlfriend” follows with wavey, optimistic energy — a track that nudges the listener upward into a cloud of warmth and new beginnings.
Next up, “All My Homies Negentropic” channels a Depeche Mode–style electronic drive with a post-punk edge, gritty yet melodic. The closer, “Tek 3000,” is the oddball of the bunch — a lust-fueled cut built around stripped-back trance elements and hypnotic, heady vocal stutters.
A compact but vivid statement from Mesmerist, weaving together dancefloor energy and introspective depth in equal measure.

Rather appropriately, in its original form ‘Tracer’ is an unmistakably heavyweight, pulsating, peak-time monster, loaded with menacing, fizzing, energetic, celebratory creative abandon. Meanwhile, Darren Emerson’s ‘Womb Mix’ develops ‘Tracer’ into an equally stunning, bombastic, stripped back, techno colossus, showcasing his supremely individualistic creative flair. In perfect juxtaposition to the trio’s versions, the dialled-back, low-slung, brooding throb of Ruede Hagelstein’s mesmerizing interpretation, bristling with unrivalled electronic detail, perfectly rounds what is an exceptional creative circle.

Anyone who’s encountered Christopher Kah’s sounds over the years will know all too well that he’s a multi-talented multi-instrumentalist. 
A true innovator in his field, Kah is a man who takes great pride in ensuring his music is presented in a truly unique format. 
His latest endeavour is RE: SOURCE, a concept where “every track” he explains, “is created with minimum resources”. 
This all comes to light quite brilliantly via his latest, RE: SOURCE 01. Featuring four original tracks, the release also comes backed by four individual videos which demonstrate the producer’s grand knack for live production.

Kicking off matters is the sounds of ‘Blade’. 
Like much of this EP, it’s produced using the Roland TR-8S in conjunction with another of his weapons of choice, the Elektron Digitakt. 
A grandiose and foreboding track with shades of UR at its core, this is trippy techno of the type often emitted from the genre’s godfathers straight out of Detroit.

‘Machine’ is a raw, minimal cut that’s laced with acid from the get-go. Full of muffled vocal patterns, it’s a thoroughly uncompromising spectacle that never lets its guard down for a moment. 
A hypnotic track that’s most definitely suited to peak-time pastures, it’s sure to decimate any dancefloor its let loose on. 
‘Extent’ is next up. A track that ups the ante even further, it’s characterised by its big room capabilities and dramatic overtones. 
Like much of Kah’s best work, it’s not one for the faint of heart, and has already proved a highlight of the French producer’s much-loved live sets.

Culminating the release is the sounds of ‘Warcry’. A gnarly track that’s notable for its restless sheen, it’s full of tantalising claps, snares and a heaving, chugging vibe that ensures the release signs out amongst a general feeling of euphoria. 
A truly captivating release, Kah’s latest is sure to find favour with in-the-know techno heads especially.
