Superstrobe Unleashes Potent Techno Energy with "Stay Strong" on CODEX! "Stay Strong" is a testament to Superstrobe's command over the techno realm. From the first beat, the track encapsulates the essence of relentless energy and pulsating rhythms. Superstrobe skillfully weaves layers of sonic intensity, creating an atmospheric landscape that is both powerful and hypnotic. "Stay Strong" is a driving track with some very melodic and emotional parts. It combines straight techno elements with very soulfull synth sounds. The idea of the track is to motivate and it should transport positive energy to stay strong in harder times. The key was to work with contrasts. The track is building up straight, but the break is breaking up everything. You can hear and imagine the feelings of hope and confidence.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

Many fans of Intec will recognise Raito from his hard hitting remix of the Frankie Bones classic "Call It Techno" which was released on the label in 2017, and by popular demand he is back with a solo EP of original material.

Alongside the aforementioned, he has also been a regular feature of Boysnoize Records plus contributed to other labels such as Nervous, BNR TRAX and Brooklyn Fire.

Based in France, Raito is heavily influenced by the classic sounds of jungle and hardcore. Fusing trademark sounds classic to those genres with the modern techno style, he has a unique and timeless sound that at times also touches on house music.

Believe In Me kicks off the EP with its earth shaking bassline and rattling percussion. Building in momentum, the soothing female vocal sample adds a calming influence over the otherwise fast and furious vibe of this peak time track.

With an industrial sound the mechanical groove of Lost Temple is next up on the EP that packs a serious amount of punch. Building towards the eerie tension of the breakdown, its pitched percussion melody hook adds to the tracks tidal wave of rhythm.

Finishing things off is the ravey collaboration with T78 titled Can You See which has vocals stabs alongside bursts of broken beat percussion and old school synth textures that add to its warehouse party feel. Dark and aggressive, this cut is the perfect way to end an EP with a bang.

A work 12 months in the making, Alex Lentini & STOMP BOXX deliver a standout EP debut.

The Italian pair – living at the extreme opposites of their country’s ‘boot’ will be new names to the Drumcode faithful. They first appeared on the label in December 2020, with a strong contribution to A-Sides Vol.10 titled ‘Expanders’. 

So impressed was Adam Beyer with their productions, a fulsome debut EP was secured soon after. ‘Fine Line’ was conceived in the final stages of 2019. With the extra studio time lockdown provided, the duo enjoyed a creative freefall,  
allowing them to refine a five-track work that sits at the intersection of home-listening techno and dancefloor functionalism. 

‘Natural Desire’ has a definable spunk to it, as pulsating chords undulate towards a breathy pad-laden finish. ‘Shifting Soul’ is exquisite, as crunchy drums and a rousing vocal ensure it’s a memorable addition to the Drumcode canon. The title track is colourful and thrilling in equal doses, as muscular synth lines coalesce alongside pin-sharp rhythms.  
‘Altered Cycle’ is skilfully composed and marked by a stirring melodic lead and funky percussive underbelly. ‘Curved Blade’ is abrasive and gritty, before a dreamy spoken word interlude arouses an introspective mood. A fitting soundtrack for our times.

“2020 was both strange and terrible, especially for music lovers. But it gave us enough time to carve out this collaboration. Don Cue is a Techno DJ and producer based in Stuttgart Germany, who discovered his enthusiasm for electronic music, especially for Techno, at a very young age. 
Paralyzed by the driving sounds and melodies, the hard whipping of the bass and a feeling of infinite freedom while raving and dancing during countless nights in clubs and warehouses, a love for Techno music and DJ-ing quickly developed. For him, Techno is not just a nother developing style of music, no, anyone who is familiar with the scene knows, that it is a way of life, a rite. The musical career started with the production of melodic techno tracks and sets, whereby the style of composing quickly led to the "harder", "darker" side of Techno. Banging kicks, fast driving beats and dark screeching sounds, shape the sound of his sets and tracks on Sound Cloud. The range of the number of BPM is mostly from 130-150.
