Hypnostate's "Mind Control" is a curated compilation that marks the label's first edition, helmed by label boss Timmo. The 12-track collection features contributions from both core artists Balthazar &amp; JackRock, as well as 11 newcomers to the label.

Leading off the compilation is Timmo's "Let's Go Back," an energetic track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Balthazar &amp; JackRock's "Inner Vision" follows, delivering a mesmerizing blend of hypnotic beats and ethereal melodies.

Antonio D'Africa and Sall's "Constant-Q" is a proper peak-time weapon, with its driving rhythms and relentless energy. "Love 1952" by Stoked offers a different perspective with a nostalgic and emotional touch.

Their maiden outing on Drumcode is an inspiring four-track work ‘I Want To See’ that lays down this sonic manifesto, with each track built around different vocal samples used to skilful effect. EP opener ‘It’s Then’ brings atmosphere in spades, mixing up a chugging bottom end, a sleek synth line and a sublime vocal that simmers throughout. The title track is another late-night dancefloor affair that shifts between function and fun, as a slick mix of polished grooves and hypnotising melodies build towards 
a thrilling crescendo. ‘That’s It’ brings peak-time energy against a plump electro backbone and ’90-tinged vocal. The EP rounds out with evocative ‘Need It’, as a stirring vox and metallic drumlines propel the track forward.

Matt Sassari is Truesoul’s first debutant of 2020, landing a punchy four-track work.

Hailing from the French port town of Marseille, the emerging artist caught Adam Beyer’s ear with strong cuts on imprints such as Relief Records and Sci-Tec. When the emerging artist begun sending demos, they quickly connected with the Truesoul boss and ‘Crack Body’ was rinsed heavily throughout the summer months of 2018.

Such is Beyer’s A&R style, patiently waiting for all the pieces of the EP puzzle to take shape, Sassari’s maiden release for the label has finally found form. The title track – familiar to fans from DCR415 – is a groove-packed party-starter brought to life by a rousing vocal sequence. With its bumping bottom end and attitude-packed vox, ‘Bruuh’ is a colourful and energetic addition to any set. ‘Everytime I See You’, is soulful techno made for big occasions, led by a memorable vocal and shuffling beats. ‘Cooking Drums’ displays Sassari’s penchant for building plenty of swing from the ground upwards, as chopped up vocal effects lay atop a sturdy bed of drums to create a useful DJ tool.
