The late 90's were imo the best era for everything dance related; trance, techno, hard trance, hard house... everything was pumping, yet melodic at the same time. 
One of the frontrunning recordlabels at that time was Bonzai from Belgium; with producers like M.I.K.E. Push and Yves de Ruyter.
Yves de Ruyter's 'The Rebel' made it to the top 40 at that time, but somehow it didn't stay in the collective memory.
Last night I accidentally played that bouncing bassline with the right synth sound and instantly remembered the track.
This is my hommage to one of the best producers out there: Yves de Ruyter.

"This release is my way of pushing back against the transient nature of today’s music industry," says Ruiz. "I wanted to create something that would stand the test of time, that people could connect with on a deeper level.
