Adam Beyer’s new EP titled ‘Teach Me’ is an accomplished piece of work that highlights Beyer's year thus far. 'Teach Me' starts with some eerie chords before the distinctive vocal kick in and the track drops into a rumbling techno track. ‘Darlek’ uses rhythmic beeps and huge synth stab to create a funky rhythm before the atmospheric pads create a beautiful setting for this incredible techno track. ‘Stop Talking’ is a deeper offering from Beyer using weird and unusual noises to create and interesting piece of work that is helped along by the throbbing bass underlying in the track. ‘Spaceman’ uses a rhythmic vocal, percussion and sub bass to turn this track into a funky techno piece.

Jel Ford kicks off his return EP with two tracks of clean big room techno. The title track ‘Backyard’ is a moody affair with a low drone throughout that is complimented with layered synth stabs. Using reverb to create atmosphere within the track it subtly breaks down before a vocal hook transcends the track to deliver a killer blow. ‘Meeting of Minds’ is dubbier and uses a tripped out synth to add rhythm whilst working alongside a synth pattern to keep the track chugging along. The slow evolving pads add texture and keep the track nicely filled out whilst this timeless classic keeps on giving.

Luigi Madonna returns to Drumcode a year after his superb single ‘Primo’ using familiar hooks, huge stabs and monstrous drums that storm across the dance floor which, are common with Mr Madonna. The hard hitting raw vibe of this EP gives Luigi an edge, with fluttering high’s and saturated lows, Luigi’s tracks are a mainstay in all DJ sets. The EP encompasses different emotions throughout that can be felt within the track ‘Singer One’, offering a more mellow side to Luigi’s already expansive catalogue.

About the EP :
For our 103rd vinyl strike we’re honoured to welcome Flug to 100% Pure.
Flug, as his name suggests, allows his audience to take a trip back to their roots, back to their
inner self and what it is to really feel techno. The Argentinian´s definition of techno has been
clearly demonstrated not only through his DJ sets in clubs and festivals all around the globe
that are as devastating as they are uplifting with his serious kick drums, use of hi-hats and
reverberating bass lines, but also through driving his own organically produced techno forward
through his releases and remixes. His music is now recognized and played worldwide due to his
unrivalled and brutal self-discipline in the studio, his humbleness in approach, his fierce passion
and overall dedication.
For 100% Pure, Flug has produced I Like Stress EP comprising 2 remixes by label head 2000
and One and artistic duo Atoll.

2011 was a massive year for Harvey McKay, as he released and remixed on labels like Drumcode, Saved, Octopus, 8-Sided Dice and of course his home-town label Soma Records. It was also a year where he defined his dark, heavy and rolling sound. 

On his first EP of 2012, he continues on the road of toughness through the 'Want You' EP.

Rumbling sub-bass underpins both original productions, but really comes to the forefront on 'Want You'. Clever rhythmic use of a vocal sample keeps the track fresh throughout, especially into the the short and effective break. One things you'll notice about Harvey's productions are the drop. And again it is nailed on this track.3

'Body To Body' sticks with the growling low-end but brings a little more jack to the table. Driving and loopy the track pushes throughout with crisp rides and high hats. The only break here come with the subtle removal of one of his many layered kick drums.

Making his debut on Drumcode in 2017 with his track ‘Fake’ featured on the A-Sides Vol 6 compilation, one of Brazil’s much loved exports Wehbba brings us his first full EP this February with ‘Eclipse’.

A no nonsense 4 track offering, and all thoroughly road tested by Adam, they have gained much support from longtime Drumcode fans. Eclipse, delivers a low end rumble along with a modulating synth line. Reigning high throughout the track, is the undeniably catchy and unique synth. Leaving this track one to be recognised on dancefloors all over the world.

‘Protocol’ doesn't turn down the pace, straight into a chugging hypnotic drive, this track leaks with attitude, along it’s eerie undertones.

Probably the most acid influenced track of the EP, ‘Glasswerk’ has a futuristic modular synth riff which thunders along a hypnotic bass line which flows nicely into ‘Framework’ to close out the EP. Its punchy and powerful kick sits alongside the cleverly crafted synth pattern, taking this track into a dark zone with a groovy element still resonant.

One of the most exciting artists to emerge in techno circles in recent times, Drumcode is excited to present the label’s first EP from Boxia.

Over the last 12 months the UK artist has impressed with his classy take on techno that mines two decades of rave. Last year’s ‘Colour Sequence’ EP on We Are The Brave marked one of 2017’s standout releases, before being tapped by Maya Jane Coles to remix a track from her latest album ‘Take Flight’, while B.Traits also shone the spotlight on him for a Future 12 residency on BBC Radio 1 throughout September. Boxia first came into contact with Adam Beyer when he opened the Car Park at Tobacco Dock for LWE’s NYD event in 2016, and since then the pair have spoken regularly sharing similar tastes in music and DJing. He dropped his first cut on DC during the summer of ’16, with ‘Revolution’ that featured on A-Sides Vol. 5, making him primed and ready for his first full length EP in 2018.

The four-track work lives up to his growing reputation for crafting beautiful, nuanced and ultimately very powerful electronic music. The EP opens with ‘No World Order’, a deep transcendental slice of techno propelled by a wicked acid line and vocal that leads to a galloping finish. ‘Only Human’ is drenched in atmosphere and old skool wonder, a brilliant composition of punchy multi-layered drum work, catchy synth lines and cutting acid that reveals its tender side with emotive broken beat interludes. ‘Unreal’ is a big peak time belter, raising the tempo to sweaty palms level, as a propulsion of acid and a memorable riff fill the technosphere. The title track ‘Ethereal Education’ closes out the work, a beautiful chord-driven vocal cut that evokes images of the classic dance that characterised Boxia’s earlier years and makes a fitting outro to this outstanding EP.

It's that time again... We're back with the fourth killer installment of our various artists series SUM, and after sorting through demos and receiving tracks from friends and colleagues, we've come up with a stellar nine track collection of pulse-pounding ''4-to-the-floor'' mayhem from some of today's freshest craftsmen. Kicking things off is Second State mainstay Wigbert with a slick display of energetic drums and mesmerizing tones on 'My Music'. Thomas Hoffknecht's '264' follows suit with a barrage of sound perfect for sweat drenched late night antics. S.M.O.D. - Smilla's and Oliver Deutschmann's new project - deliver a rapid fire cut with their track 'Trunk', where a winding synth ensues a percussive storm, before Rudosa and Hush & Sleep pursue with a wall of eccentric sonic blasts and a wall of aggressive percussion on 'Extinction', resulting in the perfect modern take on classic rave aesthetics. Two of Naples best exports, Markantonio and Lerio Corrado, step up next and dish out a sinister, yet uplifting number with 'Motherland'. JSPR follows up with his brutally pleasurable 'Build Your Walls Around Me'. Next, our VA takes a turn into slightly more melodic and emotional domain as confidns drop a bomb with their future classic '6 Sekunden', before Black Peters' 'Individual Force' drives the compilation into headier territories as he constructs an other-worldly trek via mischievous melodics and heartfelt harmonics. Avision's 'Feel It' rounds out the compilation with it's fever-inducing groove and a vigorous gate solidifying another unique display of today's best artists. Second State's SUM IV is here.

Rewind back to 2015, and this was the year that Alex Mine actually produced the original track ‘Lost’, a track which remained homeless yet waiting to be unleashed on the right label. It wasn't until he bumped into Monika Kruse whilst in Barcelona for Sonar, where she signed it after the first listen to her beloved Terminal M imprint.

Initial feedback was outstanding, but it really all started to happen when Carl Cox said he loved it, and wanted to do a remix, alongside fellow Italian producer Roberto Capuano. Carl drops a funky, chunky groove rework with tech house vibes, whilst Roberto throws in his techno cut. A hypnotic combination of synthetic movements, vocals and acid rhythms.
