Paul Ritch is back on Drumcode with his astounding new single ‘Brainwash’. Perfectly capturing the energetic, driving techno sound that Paul is capable of, ‘Brainwash’ delivers something that really engrains into the memory and leaves the dancefloor filled with vitality. Stephan Hinz may be making his debut on Nicole Moudaber’s imprint but he’s by no means a debutant in the game. With a body of work dating back to the late 2000s featuring labels such as Watergate, Intec, Second State, Drumcode and more, it was only a matter of time before his dancefloor-tailored, mix-optimised dynamics found themselves on MOOD.

Armed with a restrained sense of funk and space, Hinz’s strong groove craft is established across three very distinct arrangements. We ignite with ‘Outreach’, a track that builds drama with relentless drums before being stripped right back for a humanised loop to flicker and falter through the rising drama. Heightened by every
strike of the succinct two-note riff, it’s guaranteed to leave the floor putty in your hands before the main breakdown.

We stride forward into the techno unknown with ‘Phantom Move’ where an ominous analogue texture takes the lead with the persistence of a foundation electro cut. Raising in velocity and sheer breadth, it teases with a bigger riff potential on every fill. Powered by a thunderdome drum set, peppered with dubby overlays, Hinz is on a real trip… And everyone is invited.

Finally we hit ‘Resonant States’. Here we find Stephan somewhere deep in warehouse mode with a dynamic that’s fat enough to justify clinical classification and a loop-driven groove that’s persistent enough to warrant an injunction. Infectious to the core and coded with the same ingredients from the sonic spice rack shared by
Berlin and Detroit, it’s a climactic closure to a pivotal chapter from Hinz. With sounds as strong as these we suspect MOOD will happily welcome him again in the near future…

The italian artist Hollen needs little introduction. Having DJ-ed all over the world and with many releases under his belt which were played by the scene's leading techno DJ's, he's a household name.

His OFF debut starts with „Script'. On the fundament of a rolling bassline, energetic synth stabs and 909 drums drive the track forward.

„Command' offers a slightly deeper program. A perfect track for the earlier or later hours of the night.

„Enter' is the most mental of the originals due to its psychedelic synth lead.

For the ninth release in their main label series Haven are proud to be inviting German production duo New Frames for their first full EP on the label, following on from the release of ‘Scatter’ on Haven’s first VA compilation - easily one of 2019’s biggest tracks with support across the board. Made up of Mathis Mootz (of The Panacea fame) and David Frisch, this powerhouse of a duo are releasing some of the most powerful and exciting tracks of recent years.

The A1 launches the record with the apocalyptic ‘Eine Andere Welt’ - a true peak-time smasher showcasing the duo’s production capability, with epic rave synth work, pounding drums, and crunchy sound design already proving to move international dance floors. This is followed by ‘Stylized Fear’ on the A2, utilising broken drum patters, perilous vocal chants and threatening atmospheres in a hectic roller. The flip is kicked off with ‘The End Of It All’ on the B1 bringing things back to slamming 4-4 territory - where ominous and powerful synth design, stomping drum rhythms, and a DnB-inspired breakdown provide another soundtrack to club madness in the duo’s discography. Finally the B2 closes the record with an enormous Perc remix of the A1 tune, finishing with another potent piece of dance floor fodder from Haven.
