New mid tempo funky jungle tom groove, similar to ''Bedlam'' by Elvis Costello. Played by Elvis Costello's drummer Pete Thomas.

This drum track and 12 other new drum tracks can be found on the album 70s New Wave Drops. A large number of classic Elvis Costello based drum tracks recorded like the originals and a couple of country tracks thrown in. 

70s New Wave Drops was recorded at The Square Studios in London and Mixed in the Engine Room Studios London by producer Roger Bechirian who was responsible for recording and producing many of the original Costello albums. The album utilised the amazing drumming skills of Pete Thomas who has played the drums on the majority of Elvis Costello's albums and still tours with him now. There is no one better to play the drums on 70s New Wave Drums. The drumkit was a hybrid kit. A DW Collectors series Kick drum and Gretsch Toms with Zildjian A Cymbals. These drums were supplied by the amazing Drumhire in London. (www.drumhire.com)

All of these drum tracks can be purchased individually or as a complete album. They are available in three packs. The raw Multi-tracks, the mixed drum stems and lots of 4 bar loops chopped up and provided as WAVs, Apple loops and REX2 files.

SNWD 100 NEW WAVE SM 11 FULL MIX

Classic Channel One era steppers beat with a straight 16 feel featuring accented snare, timbale fills, tambourine, cabassa, flexitone and electronic percussion using Roland PC2 perc synth.

This drum track was produced by Prince Fatty and played by Horseman exclusively for Drumdrops. This is one of 13 tracks from In Saturday Night Style Volume 1 which is now available to buy on the Drumdrops site as multi-tracks, stem packs and loops. 

A Rub a Dub jamboree of 13 classic early 80s dance hall (pre drum machine era) reggae drum tracks inspired by famous dub plates. 1963 Premier Outfits 54 Kit Demo Medley NI Kontakt 5 Pack

A demo from our forthcoming 1963 Premier Outfits 54 Kit which was sampled in Miloco's The Pool. This demo is taken from the Single Hits pack. The Single Hits pack is designed for drum machines and samplers that do not load up multi-velocity levels it contains up to 3 velocities / articulation. The samples are all recorded as WAVs made up of a mix of the close mic and ambient and room mics. This demo is the same medley as the Kontakt 5 pack & Multi-Velocity Pack. 4 different grooves. 1963 Premier Outfits 54 Kit - Single Hits Pack Medley

Bring on the groove! Minimal beat that just keeps on moving with some subtle addition and building all the time. A deeper snare drum sound and sections that go into four on the floor Duran Duran-esque and very machine-gun like snare drum fills.

Oh yes here come the 80's. Introducing a mix of one of the drum tracks from our album 'Now That's What I Call 80's Drums' An album of classic 80's drum tracks played by Steve Sidelnyk (Madonna, Annie Lennox, Massive Attack). The album was recorded and mixed by Brit Award winning Producer Chris Potter (Verve, U2). It was recorded in Hugh Padgham's personal Studio - Sofa Sound in West London. The kit used was a DW Collector Series fitted with Evans Heads provided by our friends at Drumhire in London.

Premier 63 Outfits 54 Kit - Alternative Kontakt 5 Pack Mixes Medley

A Medley mix of the Premier Outfit kit using the alternative 'tape & Valve mix' samples that have just been added to our multi-velocity pack. This adds some nice analogue distortion to the samples.

The alternative samples were mixed through an SSL 4056G+ Console which had a Manley Variable-Mu Compressor on the mix insert, whilst they were also sent off in parallel to an EAR 660 tube compressor (based on the famous Fairchild 660). In addition the samples were then sent off to two Urei 1176 compressors, again in parallel, which had the compression turned off, adding a little solid state distortion to the valve distortion that was already coming from the EAR 660. Then crucially the samples were printed to BASF 900 ½” tape, running on an Ampex ATR-102 machine, running at 30ips.

The Multi-Velocity Pack includes templates for Kontakt, Battery, EXS24, Studio One's Impact, Geist, Ableton Drum Rack, Maschine and iDrum. There are 400 samples included of each mix providing up to 16 velocities / articulation. 

Priced at £ 10.00 for 1.6 gig of samples this pack is a must for anyone seeking out authentic live drum kit sounds.
