_ENACT, Joran van Pol’s imprint, founded in 2021, brings you the third and last part of a techno trilogy, musically reflecting signs of the present time. 

‘Unforgivable’ is again, as can be expected from van Pol, a stark stripped down 132 bpm techno track. The title reflects the decisive and definitive nature of the music. 

‘Unforgivable’ is the last of the ‘Obsidian’ Trilogy. The trilogy is inspired by the dystopian nature of current world events. All three tracks have a sense of restlessness and urgency, reflecting a feeling of inevitability. 
The artwork is again made especially for this track by ‘dotting’ artist Srch_of.

When we refrain from facing ‘Inevitable’ things and ‘Cloak’ them instead of resolving them, they become heavy. No longer at the surface, the things we carry with us become a ‘Burden’. The last installment of this trilogy offers a more sound design-oriented approach. Using a Moog in an unconventional way, Joran creates ear-tickling sounds combined with his ever-minimalistic yet stark approach to techno.

BRÄLLE is a bright and rising artist from New York, and his work has been included on prestigious labels including Lindsey Herbert's EvilGroove, Quail's Animal Farm, Coyu's Suara, and Joton's Newrhythmic.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track "Overthrow" with a roaring underbelly of tension. Hypntotic and expansive, this is a trippy realm of details and drum work that captures the mind and feet with a heads down style groove.
