Alex Albrecht https://soundcloud.com/melquiadesmusic has refined his unique triangulation of ambient, house, and instrumental influences over the years, either as one-half of Albrecht La’Brooy (Apollo) or under his Melquíades alias (Analogue Attic). Combining rich field recordings and hypnotic instrumentation, Alex’s productions are often recognizable thanks to this instantly warm and welcoming combination. With releases on labels such as Soul Deep, Omni Music, Liquid Drops and his own imprint Codename: RCRDS, Moakz's debut album 'The Critical Path', showcases the artist's 'cinematic jungle' sound in full length for the first time, drawing on influences as diverse as film scores, soul, jazz, post-rock and techno for a warm, deep and often emotional take on drum and bass / drumfunk. The album releases on double 12" vinyl and digital on 6th June 2025. 


Moakz chose Omni Trio as the artist for his mix selection as follows - "Rob Haigh's music has had a massive influence on me since my teenage years, and it was really enjoyable putting this mix together.  I'm a huge fan of his work, and digging once again through his deep back catalogue it reminded me that there really is no such thing as a bad Omni Trio tune.
