Tambur says: Long ago, when the dim light reached our land, I was a small, frightened creature. Groping blindly with my arms outstretched or crawling close to the ground, I was inhaling its bland smell. Once I found a tree. On its trunk I felt a gnarl that I bit into without thinking. The fatigue of the journey dwindled down when I felt the sticky liquid in my mouth. The next day I woke up in a body covered with thick animal fur. Since then I have been speaking in a voice placed in my abdomen.
