The third track in the 'No-Budget Nightmares' b-folk series, where I write a song for one of the flicks the NBN crew is reviewing on their podcast! (Yes, I know I put NBN4 in the image...I'll fix that eventually!)

"Order of One: Kung Fu Killing Spree" is described as follows on the FREE YouTube stream of the flick...which was actually a pretty bad ass movie:

NBN3: Order Of One

The fourth track in the 'No-Budget Nightmares' b-folk series, where I write a song for one of the flicks the NBN crew is reviewing on their podcast!

"Kindergarten Ninja" is described (with some additions to the incomplete synopsis) as follows on IMDB and is available to see for FREE on YouTube, linked below the synopsis!

"Dead Bruce Lee's status in heaven can be upgraded if he performs a miracle, which becomes rehabilitating wrong-living NFL star, Blade Steel. Bruce attempts this by getting Blade interested in martial arts, which Blade, in turn, teaches to students where he is performing community service for three months.  He is helped by a blind martial arts teacher Master Chosen One to fight the evil Hector Machete who recruits young children to sell his dope on the streets."

NBN4: Kindergarten Ninja

"Video Violence" is a classic Shot on Video horror from 1987, one of the rare gems that made it's way into video stores across North America.  It's described on IMDB here:

"A husband and wife open a video store in a new town, and come to find out that the locals only rent horror films and the "occasional triple X'er", and make their own snuff videos."

First in a series of songs written for the awesome podcast No-Budget Nightmares.  The project: write a song for each low- and no-budget film they discuss.  As usual...take something harsh, bizarre, or just bad and make a song that is TOTALLY too nice for the film.  Think Michael Jackson's 'Ben' with less Michael Jackson.

The first film is 'Nekromantik,' a 1987 german low-budget movie about...erm...people who love people who aren't alive anymore.  I wanted to write a pretty love song for the main male character, but also kinda wanted it to come across as being about the guy who steals his girlfriend...well...steals his girlfriend...more like she stole him.

Also...he's dead.  Did I mention that?

The second film is 'Cannibal Campout,' a classic 1988 'splatter slasher' flick shot in New Jersey about it's most beloved inhabitants: woodland cannibals!  Might as well be a rompin' good time.

Full of random references from the movie and a sweet, totally hopeful ending, I hope you enjoy it and sing it around a campfire some day!
