Perfectly in tune with the summer season upon us, Islandman presents a refreshing sound from the shores of the Black Sea with this splendid sunny mix. Originally from Turkey, this brilliant producer started out at a young age and made his way in music by playing a traditional long-necked lute known as a saz. It’s thanks to this early relationship with music that Islandman developed the technique and feeling needed to handle farfetched rhythms, sounds and chants inspired by the flowering cultures of the Mediterranean Basin and beyond to blend them with mastery in his tracks and mixes. This eclecticism and understanding of music has helped him put together a wide range of melodies and musical styles which extend from enchanting edits of traditional Bulgarian sounds to smooth balearic disco. His mix is exciting and mesmerising, catching the mind in a gentle twine of melodies and rhythms. His perfect balance of percussions and electronic beats shakes and ripples throughout the track, and lifts you with ecstatic vibes. The mix goes on in a beautifully arranged journey set by the pace of your own inner dance, as if the concept of time ceases to exist and it’s just you and the music. Very pleased to share with you, this lush set that I played with my brother Dali Sana at When a Fire Starts to Burn w/ Warte:mal, Luana Schwengber & more
that was a fundraiser party we co-created, in order to collect money for Amazon Watch & Up2green who are two NGO's fighting to preserve and reforesting the rainforest in the Amazonas that currently are plagued with huge fires, because of human greed.
We managed to collect money to plant roughly 4.000 trees :D

Here the recording from our latest Soulrave at Hanufahna in the beautiful Heitere Fahne. At first I did not want to release this as there are from my view some imperfect moments in this mix. But after some time passing and since I seem to be confronted with my own imperfectionism on other levels too and realizing, that having cake and tea with my demons is the only way to get to the core of myself, I thought screw perfectionism, the energy was high level during this dance and beautiful souls as far as I could see. Actually I did not feel very well that day, but after this beautiful Soulrave I was bursting with power and I could hug every tree on my way to the second set that night. So yes, dancing is a beautiful way, for me one of the best ways, to heal myself in connection with others. Thank you.

"I prepared the playlist for this mix for some time and put it finally in form on a remote beach in a Thailand National Park. I liked to create something chilled & uplifting; sending out sunny & a bit tripped out vibes catching the groove.. The motto for this could be the song line of the first track „Schneid ein Stück aus der Zeit, näh daraus dir dir ein Kleid, mach es groß mach es weit“ „ cut a piece out of time, sew yourself a dress out of it, make it great and wide“. Enjoy the dress, the flow, the time and yourself... <3<3<3"
