Train Chase

When you go on youtube (as im typing this) you will not find the NTSC pitch (well theres one but its pitch is slightly diffrent and has reverb effect on it) of the great piece of music but you will find the PAL version, so i fixed that by slowing this too two mins (the reason why its 2 mins is to match with the TTTE remix made by Connor (CGA26) because why not) and fixing the pitch to be the NTSC one.

The more I listen back to this, it's very reminiscent of Masa's Demo tape but I wanted a slightly more 'live' sound than that. Originally this was going to be more based on Earth Wind & Fire's 'Let's Groove' because I find parts of the bassline to carry a similar cadence but then I wanted to incorporate 'Best of My Love' by The Emotions some more during the 'chorus' section, so essentially it just turned into a 'pop-ish' piece.

Here's an obscure take on the Sonic 1 Invincibility Remix, I used the Sonic Theme from AOSTH and reworked it a little with some of the original to make this AOSTH styled Invincibility Theme, if they were to use one that is.

Done with MMC5 chip (two extra pulse channels)and using the DCPM channel for orchestra hits.

This has been kicking about on my computer (as an unfinished FLP) for over half a year, so I thought I'd finish it up and upload it.

I used C700 to extract the SNES sounds- one thing I've noticed about SNES soundfonts is that some of the instruments don't seem to be in tune with one another, so when people use them the end result sounds like it's being performed by a school band. Not to mention, extracting the sounds yourself means you can use instruments that aren't present in any soundfont.

Okay, let's all imagine that in an alternate universe, Nintendo's music department had the ideas for the music of Super Mario 64 while they were writing the music for Super Mario World. This is how I think that would have turned out.

Throwback to when I made Roll Calls

 So this is a track I've been wanting to do for ages... I realised I was able to sample a small bit of the drums from one of the episodes and instantly went ahead to do it. I'll also upload this to YouTube eventually.
