Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Come On

"Help Him Out" is a comment on toxic relationships and the things that 
keep us in them. A hard-hitting track built around sludgy riffs and 
powerful drums, it retells one band member's experience of moving into 
London with a former best friend. The time was a painful one, two 
dissipating years of ups and downs, peppered with manipulation and 
obligation. A friendship bought and sold. This experience of living with a 
high functioning drug addict, and all of the denials that came with it, led 
to eventual profound realisation "Love is a funny thing, it changes with 
time, I think I've got his number but he's stolen mine..."

Sometimes it's best to just let it go.

Dry Run are a bunch of noisy boys from Brighton who put on high-octane live shows and package up chunky Drop-D riffs with hook laden grooves.

Their new single 'Cast the Spell' is a playful visit to the ghost town of misplaced and poorly managed emotions. With a power packed fuzz-laden guitar lead and cheeky shades of Band of Skulls and Turbowolf, it's a minor yet noteworthy departure from their grungier aesthetic. This release sees them maturing their sound by fully capturing their mischievous nature on a recording for the first time.
