To be honest I don't know if I like this one more than the original, but I added to the range of the piece and changed some notes around to sound cleaner and cover more space.

I needed to investigate rhythm further, but felt like I already played with making a "weird" or "complex" rhythm in my last assignment so for this one I made a simpler drum rhythm (still using 2 drum kits) that loops and changes itself slightly over the course of the song. I also added a bass and a lead to build off of the drums and try to make the piece whole.

I wanted to make something more upbeat sounding but my refusal to not use the sliced break drum kit and lack of time led me to going the entirely opposite tonal direction. Creepy song #2. Other drum kit used was raged kit 04

I used the Brainfreeze Kit and the Warehouse stutter kit. The sounds they each had were pretty different so I liked using them together.

(this one definitely may need more time in the oven, but I think you can see the ideas I was going for).

I had a really hard time with the original assignment, so I took inspiration from some classmates and tried to make something scary / more of an experience rather than a song. It was cool to learn finer details about sampling and this assignment has made me further acknowledge how little I know.
