For those not in the know Mater Suspria Vision are one of last remaining first wave of Witch House, proceed without prejudice, MSV were a truly bizarre one of a kind group. Combining Cosmic style with early Krautrock experimentation, bootleg VHS and a wild sense of humour, MSV have been one of our favourite groups for a long time. We’ve taken their last LP Antropophagus and run it through the Giallo Disco filter, featuring remixes by Xander Harris, Parasols AKA Ali Renault, Antoni Maiovvi and Vercetti Technicolor. Ronnie Spiteri’s ­sound has been cemented via his residency at JUNK in Southampton (UK) and by a non stop string of quality house tracks released via his Kenja Recordings and the likes of Roger Sanchez’s Undr The Radr, Toolroom Records and Do No Sleep.

Ronnie was brought up immersed in house music; you could say it’s in his veins! His father is a veteran promoter from the South Coast of England who used to put on illegal Rave's up and down the country in the early 90’s, many a time with a young Ronnie in tow. By the age of 11 Ronnie had spun his first record on his Dad’s set of Technics, he played & recorded his first DJ set at the age of 14 and by the age of 16 had secured his first DJ residency at the local club night.

It was only a matter of time before Ronnie starting putting down his experiences, influences and ideas in the studio. Always the perfectionist Ronnie spent at least 3 years honing his craft into the simply awesome house sound akin to his peers that has been gracing the best dancefloors around the world today. 

As 2016 draws to a close Ronnie his perfect blend of tribal tech and driving house has pushed him to the top of many DJ’s playlists including Anja Schnieder, Alan Fitzpatrick, Mark Knight, Darius Syrossian, Sante, Josh Butler, Sidney Charles, Bontan and Russ Yullop.  You can catch him at JUNK in Southampton and further afield in Feb 2017 he will be touring Australia and part of South East Asia.

extract. Mind Over MIDI feat. Paul St. Hilaire - Ital Swing (from 'Dub Affairs Vol.3') | ROHS!

Written by Berlin-based producer Linus Nicholson, aka Ausschuss, 'Room1' is a decidedly sci-fi take on electroacoustic experimentation — a grainy exodus into wistful neoclassical compositions and data-moshed found-sounds. At times the EP calls to mind Mica Levi’s Under The Skin soundtrack with its icy and foreboding soundscapes. Opener ‘Drown Later’ begins with caustic splashes of ambience, skittish percussion swaying to and fro lazily. Then there are tracks like ‘Blinding Partner’, a looming and sinister presence full of windswept drones and howling incantations.

With the release due on November 2nd, the Milan-based label generously offered up an exclusive preview of title track, a head-spinning mesh of granulated chimes, undulating low-end and gravelly atmospherics.
