1Fortys most notorious duo comes in the pair of 9TRANE and Arridim with six releases between them since the launch of the Label.. this being their seventh. 'Plazma' was the first time the two had got together to create something and it didn't disappoint receiving a heap of support from the majority of the UK Funky and even the Bass scene as well as across BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM & Reprezent.

Arridim built the VIP shortly before launching his DnB alias Particle which has taken him to dizzying heights already with the Critical family, so not only did the people want the VIP as soon as it surfaced but it makes the perfect departing gift as Arridim takes a bow out of his bass alias for the foreseeable future.

The prolific Dubstep pioneer Youngsta returns to self-run imprint Sentry Records, this time delivering the wax treatment with a murderous collaboration featuring the dons Killa P and Long Range. Title track ’Progress’ starts off innocently, before slowly dragging you into a field of melody that quickly turns into a warzone: Infectious stabs resemble heavy arms, which do serious damage thanks to the genius square- and sawtooth bass lines as its core. This engineering is backed up by dons Killa P and Long Range, who both pack that extra punch, to conclude their joint effort with Youngsta remains part of one deadly formula. The power of the track ultimately lies within the short bursts of thunderous percussion, ruff vocals from the very underground - and the ton of pressure avid listeners of the tidy Dubstep culture love unmistakably. Tested thoroughly on systems across the globe, both the vocal version as the instrumental have the power to stir a serious crowd. With this thirteenth release of the label, catalogued as 'SEN013', to be set in stone, it is as bulletproof as all preceding releases of this very imprint.

Youngsta, Killa P & Long Range - Progress [Sentry Records]

Jivi or jivi2mebaby, originates from Mumbai and now resides as a DJ in Berlin. His musical journey began with a strong affinity for Bollywood music but underwent a transformation as he immersed himself in the world of electronic music at a young age. He draws inspiration from the unconventional ambience of barefoot Goth clubs, the pulsating rhythms characteristic of 80's EBM, and the innovative sounds of post-punk, all of which he encountered after his move to Berlin.

In the present day, his mixes present a fusion of South Asian influences, Latin Bass, Breakbeat, and various other high-energy sounds, often spiced up with a pop edit, showcasing his fervour for unexpected and distinctive beats. When you tune in to his sets, you can anticipate an urge to hit the dance floor.
