The Gloria from the Missa Brevis by English composer Jonathan Dove (b. 1959). This work, already a “classic of contemporary liturgical music” was first performed in Wells Cathedral in 2009.  This recording, made on St. Peter's Day, Sunday, September 20, 2015 was its first performance at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, St. Louis.

The customary end to the service of Evensong at St. Peter's includes the singing of the Choral Orison: "God, that madest earth and heaven". After the final hymn the organ plays the choir to the narthex in the back of the church. The doors of the narthex are closed, and the choir sings the Choral Orison.
