Ratepus JD, dj, promotor i miłośnik winyli, od lat jest aktywnym uczestnikiem łódzkiej sceny. Przygodę muzyczną rozpoczął w 1993 roku jako wokalista i frontman miejscowego zespołu funk-rockowego Kisiel. Po rozpadzie zespołu w 2003 roku zaczął odwiedzać kluby z undergroundową taneczną elektroniką i w ten sposób odkrył świat rejwerów, który wkrótce dał początek jego pierwszym występom DJ-skim. Od lat dziecięcych osłuchany z psychodelią lat 60. i 70., a później w latach 90-tych z elektroniką, jak Autechre, Orbital, Plaid, Leftfield, Red Snapper, AphexTwin, Board of Canada a przede wszystkim The Future Sound of London przełożyło się na jego styl grania. Po pięciu latach ponownego występowania, staje się nieodłączną częścią lokalnej sceny elektronicznej. Przez ostatnie 10 lat sprowadza do Łodzi wielu producentów, głównie spoza kraju, a także organizuje lokalne eventy, z których najważniejszym dokonaniem był festiwal muzyki elektronicznej, który muzycznie współtworzył z Maciejem Ożógiem odpowiedzialnym za jego część ekperymentalną. L'tronica odbyła się dwa razy i była udaną próbą przywrócenia Łodzi dawnej świetności, jako jednej z pierwszych kolebek rozwoju sceny rejwerskiej. Jego sety to połączenie różnych styli, od dub techno przez house, po wpływy rumuńskiego minimalu.

Based on creating emotions, this series of podcasts features very unique content created by artists willing to do the extra step and demonstrate their musical diversity.

So for the third episode, I’m happy to present you with Impvsiv. 

Despite her young age, Impvlsiv’s music is very mature and different. Two super important ingredients for us at Voltage. 
This is a deep, immersive set, balancing between hypnotic, experimental and raw techno, a real gem, you rarely get to experience. 

Impvlsiv will be playing with the voltage crew on out opening party at October 7th, that will be held the alternative Quilombo Lab multispace, so you’ll get to listen to her music in person.

Andrey Sirotkin - In The Mix (episode 7)

No hay muchos DJs como él. DJS que creyeron en el techno desde el primer minuto, que experimentaron el techno desde sus comienzos, que hicieron del techno algo suyo. DJS que encontraron su propio estilo y cuyo nombre es sinónimo de un sonido específico. Alex Bau es uno de éstos DJS. Pero al mismo tiempo hay algo que le diferencia. ¿Por qué centrarse sólo en sonidos minimalistas o sonidos techno cuando puedes tenerlos los dos?

Desde su club de residencia bavariano, Libella, donde realizaba 5hrs de set cada noche y donde, por cierto, también empezó su carrera Dj Hell a principios de los 80, Alex Bau destacaba por ser consciente de lo que hacía y de lo que la gente quería. Hasta que llegó el momento de salir fuera de su área, en cuyo campo cumplió y cumple con creces. A día de hoy tenemos a un artista de tour por todo el mundo, incluyendo toda Sudamérica, Canadá, Asia, y por supuesto Europa. De dichos tours por el mundo podemos destacar la impresión que causaban sus actuaciones en el mítico club Aria de Montreal, hasta el punto de sacar a la venta un CD mezclado por Alex llamado Live @ Aria, Montreal en 2006.

Como productor tiene el respeto de toda la industria, cosa que se ha ido ganando desde sus primeros acetatos con Sven Dedek en el sello Basic Implant o con Chris Liebing en Fine Audio Recordings, causando gran impacto en la pista de baile, pasando por su propio sello Toneman, hasta sus recientes producciones en CLR o Sino, y por supuesto tras su álbum Being Wayne Sidorski en el sello Credo, disco que pinchan artistas como Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin o Technasia. En el camino ha remezclado para gente como Nitzer Ebb, Pascal Feos, Justin Berkovi, Dave AngelTambién ha producido en el famoso sello Zenit de Marco Carola. 

Destacar que como agradecimiento a la especial relación con el público canadiense, Alex Bau se estrenó en el sello CLR en 2007 con un disco llamado Canada EP, que fue declarado por la industria como una auténtica obra de arte de la música electrónica contemporánea y fue admirado en todo el mundo. Una vez sabido todo esto, se entiende mejor que fuese votado como uno de los mejores DJs alemanes por la revista Raveline (nº1 en Alemania) en 2006.
