A prominent representative of the ghetto scene, notable for releases on the labels Zement, International Chrome, urwaxx, Sample Delivery, URBAN, Ax on Wax, Mind Controlled Rectifier, Dionysian Mysteries, etc.

Uzbek DJ and producer eenkay joins Spice Lounge for our Voices show this month, having kindly recorded a mix for us over in Tashkent. As a member of Plovistan, a collective championing Central Asian electronic artists, he’s played a pivotal role in the group’s stewardship of the regional scene over recent years, hosting events in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, putting on showcases platforming the Georgian residents of Tashkent, and curating a mix series featuring artists from Siberia and Tajikistan, among a host of other locations. The mix is speckled with eenkay’s own productions, along with those of his collective-mates, moving through rap edits, rattling electro, and ghetto, all with a Central Asian twist.
