‘Answer Me’ blends D'Stil's original song-writing style with a contemporary feel that is influenced by artists from UK Garage’s golden age, such as Mark Hill (Artful Dodger), Craig David and MJ Cole. With smooth R&B vocals and co-production by multi-instrumentalist Little King, ‘Answer Me’ is a 21st century re-telling of the pursuit of love, over a playful UKG sound from yesteryear. 

“The single is a taste of what’s to come from my debut EP,” comments D’Stil. “I’ve been living the UK Urban scene of my childhood and I’m proud to be releasing a single that is inspired by my idols.”  

Birmingham born D’Stil is part of a growing collective of urban artists such as Jorja Smith, Jaykae and Mist, all hailing from the West Midlands. D’Stil envisions a resurgent scene for British Urban music which celebrates culture and the love for pure music, with the aim to bring back the infamous noughties Garage raves.

The release of ‘Answer Me’ is D’Stil’s highly anticipated first single which follows the release of cover ballad ‘Thinking Bout The Time’. Set to release his first EP in Summer 2018, D’Stil aims to showcase his passion for emotive music on the live music scene, adding to his performing accolades of world famous venues which include Maida Vale Studios and the BBC Live Lounge.
