Tapecast 11 / robotalco

This is a mix I did some months ago. Called it Rudeboy Soul because that´s what it is in the end. Starts with some original Electro by 52nd Street on Factory Records, then moves to House and Techno tracks the way I like it: Versatile, raw and groovy as fuck. 
Been dj´ing since the early 90´s and what I often miss nowadays is versatility. The guts to play something that isn´t tried formula. But I don´t like complaining either so I´m trying to spread these ideas.
I grew up with all kinds of dance music, from Northern Soul to Dub Reggae or whatever. Then there was electronic music and soundsystem culture. Which I am absolutely obsessed with. So I destilled all this into a bunch of tracks for this mix. Rude with an attitude.

Tapecast 15 / Ali-us

Born and raised in Poland, living in London, Kasia discovered electronic music in in the early nineties. After moving to London in 2001 she quickly became enamored with the club scene; inspired by the music she was hearing, and underground parties she was going to, she got her turntables and started collecting and playing her first vinyl records.
Her first professional step into the electronic music world was in London in 2009. After her first DJ gig in she started working her way through the underground party circuit in East London playing gigs, at small intimate venues and underground warehouse parties
Her DJ sets reflect her eclectic taste, delving into a world of weird and challenging music. Her sound could be heard as somewhere between from house, dub to techno with a healthy dose of deep groove and funk thrown into the mix.
Over last few years her DJ travels have taken her to countries such as Germany, Holland, Portugal, and Croatia.
Kasia is currently producing and writing music as part of duo called KP Sessions, and since then had released music on Realise/ Sustain.

I play every genre of music but I wanted to play a genre close to my heart HOUSE. I know House is popular but it really is a feeling. Pure, unadulterated groove, emotion, passion and rhythm.

I've picked diverse yet coherent tracks for this mix all with different aspects of the same underlying feeling that is House music.
