DISPOSED TO MIRTH 


It is always hard to write a Band-Biography, because basically noone gives a damn which guitar player had a irretable boul in 1998 or wants to here further imformation one could care less about. But there are exceptions, if a band really has a story to tell.

Disposed To Mirth is a young band, that has a metal background and further like to enrich their music by using sounds from the places they grew up, which results in a pretty hearable mixture between heavy -core tunes to oriental soundscapes.

Every musician in the band has it's own story of how they got to do music and finally ended up in becoming DTM.

By the way, every DTM dude has had a pretty exstatic experience, that has led to the formation of the band:

Being born in England and growing up in Hong Kong, Daniel has always been torn between cultures, especially having to decide what ideals are the right to follow. Writing all these thoughts and quarrels down led to his passion for poetry. As they became more and more hostile towards the occupators of the colony Hong Kong, the governor invited Daniel to a duel in which the governor and him shall endorse in a poetry slam, under the influence of the national drug opium. If Daniel wins, he shall have immunity and shall be granted his right for freedom of speech. Pumped up full of rage towards this tyran governor and with the slight hallucinations of the drug effecting, Daniels voice came slamming out from the bottom of his lungs, over his lips sending governor and followers straight out of Hong Kong. From then on Daniel embarked on a mission to further spread the screaming effect of shouting out poetry.

If i wouldn´t know better, i wouldn´t believe Vladi´s story of how he got to do music.
Vladi got lost in the vasts of Siberian landscapes. After days of malnutrition he was save, due to wonderful sounds coming from his direction. What happened was, that shortly after collapsing, he felt something hard, slightly covered in the snow. What he then pulled out of the snow, led to his survival. It was a guitar and with this he sent out the most wonderfull tunes, that could be heard for miles and eventually led to his rescue finding him.

Mario is the only typical german guy, who has his own story to tell. Without any exstatic experienced up to his injury, Mario played football at a proffessional level. At some point in a pretty hard fought match, a most unpleasant fellow jumped into Mario, both legs first, breaking several of his bones, but even worse, damaging his nervous system. After weeks of treatment nothing could be found to cure his neural damages, until the day he picked up his first bass guitar. The low frequencies shot through his body and restored his nervous system leaving him with an exstatic experience everytime he plays his guitar.

And last but not as tragic as all the other stories Fabio went through quite an ordeal to get to know his Instrument.
Living in Chile for over half of his life, Fabio accidently ate the Peyote Caktus which led to his vision of beating on something in rythm as hard as he possibly can. How much would we miss his exstatic drum explosions if Fabio wasn't willing enough to explore his home fruits.
See, sometimes it's really easy and uncomplicated to find out what passion you have!

We are awaiting quite a supernova when all these musicians meet and combine their experiences...
