Joie de vivre, the joy of living. A gentle reminder from Malik, telling us to appreciate life when it shows us beauty in both the quiet and the loud moments. Sharing with us to do what makes us happy, do what feels right. 

And Malik leads by example. He doesn’t follow trends — he follows feeling.
His music is guided by three quiet but resolute principles: it must be genuine, peculiar, and whimsical. That same spirit echoes through his DJ sets, where genre boundaries dissolve in favor of authenticity, playfulness, and surprise.

From the soft grey introspection of Ashen Lips, through the dreamlike haze of Midnight Reverie, the breath of fresh air in Sadness May Go, to the winking defiance of Joie De Vivre itself — this EP is a journey through feeling, not formula. 

Each track carries its own emotional weight, but it’s the crooked cohesion that makes the project unmistakably Faquir. This is Malik at his most restrained and most expressive — both whispering and grooving at once.
