Future Mistakes

Future Signals is a 12 track compilation featuring varying styles of dubstep and future garage from 11 different producers including some of the biggest in the scene as well as undiscovered up and comers.

“Oracle Bone” by Whyrez kicks off the compilation with an intro of epic proportions leading into a crisp beat and twisted bassline. Contrasting perfectly with a smooth string section and orchestral melodies.

Track number 2 is Toronto is Broken's remix of “God Tank” by Fidelium. Turning the original into a dancefloor killer with shuffled garage rhythms and a huge deep sub bassline, this is one you can't help but nod your head to. Next is “Peculiar” by rising star Ollie Macfarlane. Beautifully sampled and pitched vocals combined with trance-esque synths and a pounding beat in make this track an anthemic club banger.

Fourth is “Needle” by the huge producer and future garage originator Whistla (Head of Sub FM and L2S Records). The track is a great example of Whistla's unique future garage style. Experimental synths and samples over a bouncy bassline and a shuffley garage drumbeat.

Klatu's first track on the compilation (and the label) “Witchdoctor” is a dark, atmospheric piece full of mind bending rhythms and sounds, produced so incredibly it's unbelievable how this Canadian talent is so undiscovered. This track is going to be part of his full length album due to be released on Dual Signal Records in the near future.

“So Lo” by young duo Krew is a world away from their usual dirty basslines and heavy beats. The smooth pads and lush synths prove that these boys are far more than a one trick pony, demonstrating production quality far beyond their years.

Track 7 is “Last Night”, a minimal garage number with brilliantly crafted vocal samples, a fat bassline and great offbeat rhythms from one of our favourite up and coming producers: Daikon.

Next up is another one from Toronto Is Broken. “Get Up VIP” reworks the original (released on his Kusanagi album on the IDMF Netlabel) into a deep half step track with a huge, chest-rattling sub.

“Gfnky” by Gannet is a Rhythm led experimental dubstep piece with wicked sounds reminiscent of the old school dubstep producers and originators.

Battering down the doors of the genre elitists come a pair of producers plucked from the ranks of Ram’s new generation of incredible music making talents. In little over a year Delta Heavy, or Si James and Ben Hall to their mums, have already proven their drum &amp; bass metal with a succession of heavy-hitting original tracks. 

Superb remixes for the likes of Example, Avicii and Chase &amp; Status ft. Tinie Tempah followed and have secured Delta Heavy as a name to watch, but their highly anticipated follow up to the massive debut single ‘Space Time’ is likely to be a crowning moment for these young producers, as names such as BBC Radio 1’s Skream &amp; Benga and Sara Cox are already lining up to show their support.

Packed with energy, this single takes dubstep, drumstep and drum &amp; bass formulas, infusing them with enormous electro influences, slamming drums and razor sharp production, then spits them back out with rave-destroying force.

‘Overkill’ chops between an immense half time drop and traditional drum &amp; bass two step rhythms all smashed together with cheeky cut up vocal snippets, euphoric chord progressions and tearing electro synth leads. Undoubtedly built for maximum club destruction, this one will have everyone jumping no matter what time of night it’s dropped.

Flip over and ‘Hold Me’ brings the tempo down to 140bpm but retains all of Delta Heavy’s incredible intensity.  Pounding beats and grinding bassline combinations are overlaid with unforgivingly catchy pitched vocals that lead to soaring epic 80s synths and a powerful 4x4 mid-section that won’t fail to destroy any dancefloor.
