Short, rapid, choppy percussions and spacey sounds. Luca loves to play with genres. Rap lines, trap beats, or breaks paired with New Wave influences. Kaiser, techno DJ / producer and label owner (K S R) from Berlin is a sought-after performer in clubs and festivals, well known for blending hypnotic rhythms with pulsating basslines. Our podcast #5 is a live recording cut from his set for Locked Groove / Brooklyn.

Right from the start, it feels like you're on a trip. Deep vocals and groovy parts adorn the set. The body has to start moving immediately. Some classy techno tracks alternate with lesser-known gems. It's the ups and downs of the energies that make listening fun. In the middle part, the whole thing is briefly broken up with more breakbeat sounds before the set picks up pace again towards the end. 

Great techno for eternity!

Tigerhead kicks off with some dope, bouncy beats, followed by some sweet deep vibes and spaced-out vocal cuts. Packed with variety and a constant groove, she seamlessly drops one killer track after another. Even as it ramps up the pace, the groove stays just right! The second part gets a bit darker, but always paired with DnB elements that make the set insanely fresh.

Reka Zalan from Berlin is proving that lucky number #007 ain't just a myth. She's an all-around force in the techno scene, straight-up everywhere. 

Her set starts off with some spacey vibes, ambient tunes, and drones. Right from the jump, you can feel the energy building, her musicality on point. The switch to those hypnotic beats? Seamless, man, it hooks you in.

Reka's tracks? Mostly deep and minimalist, but they keep pushing you deeper into the groove. She throws in some Psy and electro-infused tracks to switch it up. Towards the end, she cranks up the intensity before gracefully bringing it all back down with pure elegance.

Starting off with bells and drones, his set immediately sucks you in. It's hypnotic and groovy, gradually building up until Introversion breaks it with melodies in the middle of his set. Then it gets dubby and housy, revealing his background in breaks/DnB. Wrapping up with some ravey techno and a melodic ending, his set covers all sides, making techno an ever-changing experience.

As our # 009, we introduce Border One to you. He has released EP’s on Knowledge Imprint, Setaoc Masse’s SK-X, his own Border One Records, Freddy K’s KEY vinyl imprint, and the infamous Token Records to name a few.

Border One kicks off his set with his signature, unmistakable bleepy, driving techno sound. No waiting around, you're instantly hooked as a listener. The modular sounds mix with noise textures. In the middle, it gets more straightforward and raw, blending perfectly with hardgroove elements. Time flies by, and one rave sound after another pushes us forward. Border One shows how diverse a set can be while still staying cohesive.

Number #010 features Berlin-based Specific Objects. He's on a passionate mission to bring back the groove to hard-hitting, high-tempo techno, drawing inspiration from the early 2000s.

From the get-go, it kicks off straight-up ravy and groovy. After a few tracks, Specific Objects throws in a slick little break, only to hit us full throttle, blowing our minds. With dubby and ravy vibes, he seriously amps up the hard-groovy sounds, creating a constantly fresh and rich sound. It keeps going, full speed ahead to the end.

As our #014, we present Answer Code Request, the Berlin-based artist who has established himself as one of techno's most innovative voices. With releases on renowned labels such as Ostgut Ton, MDR, and Monkeytown Records, and a celebrated residency at Berghain, ACR's hybrid sound—melding intricate breaks, pad-driven harmonies, and industrial textures—has solidified his place at the forefront of the scene.

ACR’s set begins on a mystical note, drawing listeners into a deep sonic journey interspersed with fragmented sounds. From the start, his signature style is unmistakable, immediately captivating and immersive. The rhythms gradually become more danceable as lush pads dissolve into the background, giving way to groovy, dub-influenced, and house-tinged elements. Tino Machauer has established himself as a talented producer and DJ, acclaimed for his deep and hypnotic vinyl sets. With a passion for crisp hi-hats, rhythmic structures, and carefully selected tracks, his sets are a masterclass in how minimalistic and groovy techno can captivate and energise a dance floor.

Atmospheric and smooth, we glide right into the set – no rush, just pure vibe. Lush, deep textures wrap around your ears like a warm blanket on a cold warehouse floor. The pressure builds, slowly but surely – each drop hitting a bit harder, more tension, more drive. But Tino stays true to those dreamy pads, always keeping that emotional thread alive.
Around halfway in, we’re floating in a dubby haze – minimal, wobbly, and totally zoned in. Then boom – the energy flips. The second half turns up the heat with sharper kicks and rave-soaked elements that hit just right.
Towards the end, it’s a wild blend of bleepy nuances and broken rhythms – playful, gritty, and spaced-out in the best way.
