Subsquad Prod present the part #10 of our serie of compilations, the CITY SQUAD. Each part presents the dub makers of a city (and its surroundings) through a compilation of exclusive tunes available for free download.

After 9 compilations through France, this "anniversary" part is dedicated to Montpellier, city where Subsquad Prod is from, and presents 14 producers from this area.

The artwork is realized by Irie Design, the mastering by Subsquad Prod.

As usual, the compilation is available for free download, but you can donate to support us & help to perpetuate the project.

Le « Forward in The Arena » est né d’une idée de rendre un hommage aux vétérans qui ont pavé le chemin du Reggae Francophone.
Pour ce faire, Herbie DAN fan du riddim « Death in The Arena » et de l’album du DJ Jamaïcain Clint EASTWOOD du même nom (hommage sur le détournement de la pochette de cet album illustré par l’artiste DAMOSKI) fait appel à MANUDIGITAL (connu pour ses DIGITAL Sessions) pour faire un recut du Riddim classique…
Une fois le riddim rejoué par MANUDIGITAL, Herbie DAN et TIWONY ( 7 Seals Records) se disent qu’il faudrait rendre aux artistes fondations du Mouvement Reggae et Sound System ce qu’ils nous ont donné de par leur enseignement passé à travers cette musique…

Originally from an isolated corner, Dub Machinist emerged from the smoky cellars of Bordeaux to become a key player in the French dub scene.
His modest beginnings with the crew Uzinadub, late 90s, evolved to give birth to the release of several maxis vinyls and Digital release
on different labels: Control Tower/ Livication Corner/ Musical Riot/ ODG/ Culture Dub/ Neurus Records/ etc.
A journey marked by the constant exploration of the infinite possibilities of music and the art of dub.
A sound exploration that fuses roots influences with the power of bass music.
