We are thrilled to introduce you to the first ever Dubblack’s release. 
The label, founded and managed by Gianmaria Coccoluto, proudly begins the journey through its evocative and archetypical ‘spiral’ with a marvellous EP by its head-honcho (GNMR) which perfectly epitomises the spirit of the Italian imprint. 
The three-track record, out both on vinyl and digital versions, is called ‘Self Control’ and brilliantly displays the author’s talent for blending such a vast array of sonic influences into just 20 minutes. 
‘Self Control’ / ‘Vado Avanti’ / ‘Give Me Music’ are three main characters giving life to a compelling, at times dark, fascinating techno tinged EP which unveils GNMR’s newest project.
Who better than the man himself to welcome the listeners to this new brand of sounds? Nobody.
That’s why we can’t wait to present to you the first release of many, each and every one carefully crafted, graphically designed, calibrated and packaged to represent the Dubblack spirit in the best possible way.

The month of March 2023 is such a significant and meaningful one for Dubblack, by cause of the second release of its young, yet incredibly promising catalogue, which will star Tagliabue and his three-track EP DUBBLACK002 (out both on vinyl and digital forms).
The record, which perfectly fits in the sonic context that the label and its founder GNMR are trying to form, superbly symbolises the essence of Dubblack with its deep, mysterious electronic attitude, thus making Tagliabue an ideal ambassador of this sound.

The Milanese DJ & producer -during the length of his EP- tells a story of masterly arranged, diverse and rhythmically solid tunes, giving evidence of the enormous care that he puts into the sound research underlying each and every one of his productions, and Dubblack002 makes no exception.

The opening track ‘Odissea’ lays the groundwork for the record to rise, with a cryptic intro which breaks out in a progressive detonation, referring to a late 90s/early 00s sound but interpreting the scenario with a modern, actual twist. ‘Baraka Trance’ keeps the standard high and, as the title suggests, offers the artist’s POV on the Trance matter with a high-tempo, neatly arranged beat and a slightly acid bass-line, both creating a constantly evolving eight minutes-long acoustic journey. ‘A Oltranza’ slows the pulse but doesn’t decrease the pressure with captivating rhythmics perfectly blended with an avant-garde harmonic section; a complex but never baroque arrangement that constantly holds the listener on the rope.

The black spiral, the purest emblem of the Italian imprint, invites curious listeners, thirsty for new sounds to place themselves at its center as when the cyclone comes, the safest place to be 
is right at its core.

As Dubblack aims at the objective of consistently offering a physical product, the third release in its shadowy catalogue, entrusted to Flux By Uchiha
(Tommaso Centanni) and his five-track record ‘Abell 400’, are available both digitally and on vinyl. 

A striking transparent 12’’ dubplate in an exceptionally limited issue of 25 copies. 

DBB003 marks the debut of the young Italian producer on Dubblack. His skilled Deep rhythmic orientation, together with an innate capability of implementing Acid reverberations and a passion for blending sounds coming from the Middle-East together with the most coveted European avant-garde ones,  certainly are some uncommonly dazzling aspects of his ultra-modern musical persona. It’s truly complex to pin down the musical genre of this record. We could throw around terms like Ambient, Experimental, Dub, but the sonic reality is way more intricate and undefined. In one word, diverse.

Behind this record lies a universe, a narrative. More than a universe, in this case, Flux by Uchiha narrates through his music a cluster of galaxies, 
Abell 400, located in the constellation of Cetus (the Whale), 326,000,000 million light-years from Earth. 
In the myriad of galaxies it encompasses there is NGC1128, which hosts the binary system of supermassive black holes 3C75, which emits constant signals of radio waves immersed in the vastness of a blue cloud made of plasma, typical of the galaxy cluster. 
3C75 are drawn to each other, dancing an inexorable dance of death, moving in a spiral towards their own fusion to 
collide in millions of years…

The adventure kicks off with '3C75'. A mild, coolly sweet space caress made up of rhythmic pulses in the form of hefty kick drums, sinister radio waves and distant laments, perhaps emanating from those millions of light-years that separate Abell 400 from Earth, or maybe from unexplored life forms existing right within the galaxies. 'Dark Inner Planet' and its broken beats clearly define the seemingly infinite boundaries of the galactic perimeter narrated by the artist. It's evident how within his bag of tricks, the use of Sound Design is one of the sharpest weapons wielded with wisdom and self-discipline, yet directly. The delicate and dark harmonic caresses complete the picture. 
The exploration goes on and the human ear, not accustomed to such stimuli, adapts more and more to the context created by these sounds, elegantly unfolding in this auditory odyssey. A gloomily sophisticated light strikes in the subsequent 'Abell 400’. Its controlled frenzy gives sense to the skilful dynamic shift of sonic elements. It generates an additional dimensional layer within the uncharted vastness of this territory that, slowly but surely, becomes more fascinating. 
In 'Dub From Abell 400’ the cathartic poetry of the poignant harmonies arranged by Tommaso, re-focuses the distance that exists between this world, so far from us; fear resurfaces but gets diluted by the intriguing rhythmic tail of the track. A moment of space-time solitude. 
The exploration comes to a close with the profound harmonic reflection of 
'How I Feel’. The artist's first explicit private glimpse comes right at the end, in his own words. Who knows how he feels after this journey? Up there and out there, he went and came back, and the serene distorted Bolero that accompanies us bystanders towards the end of the trip has something melancholic and eerie, but enchanting.

As DUBBLACK’s spiral keeps on swinging around with its vehement experimentations, you’ve gotta savour and enjoy the ride in the “here and now”, as it's happening.

As the winds of music blow, a wise heart navigates the spiral, finding wisdom in each of its twists and turns.

As the releases of DUBBLACK’s catalogue pile up, the novelty and exploration for new music keeps on thriving. 

 A brand-new record is approaching, as always available both on a 12'' dubplate vinyl -limited to 300 copies- and in digital format, which features the presence of an Italian duo from the Tekno/Rave scene: A2 Abd El Monim and Tocchitek. 
The two-track EP baptised “Dark Side” includes the gems "Euriale" and "Steno"; two expansive compositions that, also due to their length, masterly observe the task of narrating two complementary stories, each with its distinct moments, yet marked by a strong rhythmic temper. Both tracks are planned to share similar sonic elements: a pulsating 160bpm kick drum, ghostly pads serving as an inevitable backdrop, and indispensable rhythmic details enriching the whole structure and arrangement.

Tocchitek is an underground Tekno producer and performer born in Milan(ITA). 
He started playing live in 2007 as part of the “Approdo Caronte” sound system based in Milan. Since then he collaborated and played with numerous crews around Italy and Europe, spreading his music in the free Underground Tekno scene.
He released his first vinyl (BSP 04) in 2018 on the Montpellier (FRA) based imprint “Bass Addict Records”. In 2021, in Milan, he launched “F.M.T Records”.

A2 (Alan Abd El Monim), is an Italian-Egyptian artist. His style is rooted in the interaction between the arts and ranges from Electronic Music to purely Instrumental. His peculiar creative nature leads him to “interpretate the facts through the notion of shadows and darkness but also through penombre”. His "dark" vision stands as a filter through which he reads the world and its interactions, hence, also through notion of light. He performed in several festivals in Italy and Europe. He also composes music for exhibitions, theatre and is an integral part of the F.M.T Records’ roster. 

Simplicity is often the hardest thing to achieve when producing this type of music, primarily designed for uncompromising dance-floors, but the duo successfully channels their message with purity and truthfulness. 

The visual aspects of layout and design are once again entrusted to Vittorio Valigi, who puts a greyscale spiral a the centre of the cover. A spiral within which one an eye can be glimpsed – the eye of the musical soul of DUBBLACK harmoniously fused with that of A2 Abd El Monim and Tocchitek, who become worthy ambassadors of the Dubblack’s sonic mission.
