This edit release is special for Les Amis. Not only because we are friends with @wearechamos, but also because they are our favourite dj/producer collective around the globe. Being an institution in their hometown Arnhem / Netherlands, the trio made itself a name by playing shows and spreading good vibes all around the world. Les Amis I No Idea (CHAMOS Edit)

Words can't describe yet another sunrise of epic proportions this time at the C.A.M.P. (Calling all Magical People) co-created gathering. Right at the beginning of my DJ set at 4:30 am on July 4th (US Independence Day) the cops showed up to try to shut the party down due to noise complaints.

I had the difficult task of keeping the decibel levels under a certain threshold, so I had to nurture a huge dance floor for the closing set of the festival until 7am somewhat quietly until we were able to ramp up the volume to proper dance floor levels.

I am not sure if it was that we all wanted this so badly, or the majestic rays of sunshine coming down upon us, all I know is that 17 encore songs & tracks after the supposedly closing "Lovely Day" song, we kept raving and raging until we almost dropped.

One of the most memorable mornings in my 21 years of DJ'ing. Here's the recording of the full 4.5 hrs of the closing sunrise DJ set. I hope it takes you all back and for those of you who weren't there I hope it brings you the sunrise  joy and magic we collectively had.

NIIKO X SWAE & GUDFELLA - EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD

Third year in a row bringing in the new day during the 4th of July festivities, and I still cannot believe how epic it keeps getting year after year during the closing of the CAMP festival. This year we came fully prepared with an array of live singers and musicians for my set. Kicking it off with Tory Stolper and myself performing our track Surya Rising live, to having our sunrise electronic dance music sermon delivered by the talented writer and poet Lauren Ducrey, and flanked by the A-Team with Noah & Mendeleyev.

3.5 hrs flew by, and as we still had to Burn the majestic Sloth effigy built by the talented Jacob, I decided to keep the closing sunrise affair measured under 5 hrs... LOL. (Maybe next year we will push a little longer into the daytime vibes...)

Thankful to Brad, Gil, Sarah, Therapy Sound and all of the people who tirelessly set up this magical fairy forest stage for us to weave musical magic. 

This was one of the most meaningful morning for me, thank you for coming along for the ride. From darkness to light and all of the ephemeral magic that exists in-between. <3

Some Brooklyn fam showed up to the brand new dance floor at Amaya in the Lower East Side with LED wands and staffs and proceeded to get the party started.  A 3 part tsunami of disco, double drops & layered basslines track selected and mixed for the ADHD generation. There are some big moments in here where the place went OFF.
