As winter returns to the world, the world of bass music continues to heat up, with artists taking inspiration from the colder climates to produce fiery originals. We are therefore thrilled to be delivering this ice-dripping care package as we unveil the third edition of our awesome ‘Winter Weaponry’ series, unloading 7 rave-ready shellers for your eardrums.

Opening up with the pulsating sub warbles of Fantom Freq & Eric Mark’s
‘Wicked Sound’, alongside the lively vocal displays of Dread MC, the tone is set nicely, with C2K & MIK delivering a rave-ready thumper in ‘Ruckus’ and
hypernaut unleashing breaksy bumps in ‘Zulu’. Next, a serious amount of
grittiness is unfurled on Dylan Jacomb’s ‘Breathe’, followed by the scatty synth swipes of DJYOUTH’’s ‘Bruh’ and crunchy drum processing of Titus1’s ‘Ride Or Die’. We then close off the project with ‘Escape’, a gnarly, LFO-driven thrilled ride from Medest, closing off another awesome collection.

It’s our pleasure to pull together these compilations each and every year, with each one being packed to the max with smokey little gems, making this a must have for any bass-inspired selector.

Tall is the latest single from dazzling electronic music artist Nathassia. The song delves into the complexity of displaced body image growing up taller than her male counterparts being half Dutch in an Asian community “They told me don’t stand up straight, don’t wear high heals, don’t wear short skirts. Don’t be taller than your boyfriend don’t be absurd”.

The idea for the single came about during her recent school & college tour to raise mental health awareness. One of the subjects she spoke about was her own experience of Body Image and how she used to be ashamed of her height. Nathassia explained that growing up she was the tallest in her Indian family because her father is Dutch. She used to have huge family parties in halls and when the moment came that everyone would move to the dance floor she would be the tallest on the floor sticking out above everyone.

"My family would worry and joke about it saying things like stop growing, you can never wear heals, we’re gonna have to find you a tall husband oh my gosh where are we going to find him! One fine day after moving to London I got the courage to buy my first high heels and proudly wear them to a family party where then surprisingly nobody said anything about my hight anymore but “nice shoes!”. I then decided to write a song about it, Tall"

The upcoming force with the UK Bass scene, Southampton based producer and DJ, DubbleT has been one of the scene's most consistent artists since debuting in November 2020. Since then, the 24 years old producer has curated a style and sound perfect for the dance with countless vocal lead and melodic tracks, each with a distinct sound and relentless energy.

DubbleT has released on many of the UK Bass scenes biggest and best labels, early releases on Yosh and 3000 Bass helped established the upcoming artist with later releases on imprints such as Crucast and DEEPROT raising his profile to a new level and introducing him to a much wider audience of dance music enthusiasts. 

Collaborating with fellow upcomers such as Arundel, Sabre and PENFLD helped further boost his status within the scene as well as collaborations with vocalists including SK, AK RENNY and MC Breeza. In 2022, DubbleT was given the opportunity to perform an official remix for Georgie Riot which was subsequently released on YosH, showcasing his production ability in a new light.

With a number of years experience DJing, DubbleT has had the opportunity to perform across the UK at some of the biggest venues in cities such as London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bournemouth and his local city, Southampton representing brands including Crucast, Bass Camp LDN, 3000 Bass, Yosh, SYNLDN and more along the way.

DubbleT also has experience putting on events, booking and hosting numerous room takeovers at London’s infamous Ministry of Sound including the debut event for Bass Hive in March 2022.

Always active online and continuing to build a wider audience, DubbleT has received countless support from platforms such as BBC Introducing, Rinse FM, Select Radio and Flex FM as well as support from the legendary DJ EZ on his Nuvolve Radio show. In addition to this, DubbleT has seen his music supported by DJs including FooR, Holy Goof, TS7, Gentlemens Club, Digital Koala, Dr Fresch and more.

With a finger on the pulse of underground dance music, DubbleT works closely within the scene for a number of brands and labels including being the founder of social media page, Bass Hive, aiming to give upcoming artists a platform for their music to be heard and spread the UK Bass sound. Other brands DubbleT works with regularly include Crucast, Yosh Bass and 3000 Bass.

A name soon to be synonymous with UK Bass music, DubbleT is only just getting started, his unique sound, distinct branding and links with the scenes top brands are all elements that will help elevate the artist to a new level and give him the platform for his sound to be heard.
