The concept comes from the general level of addiction everyone has to something, the names all refer to substances, and their extent of abuse, including the mental struggle to stop an addiction. It came together more to be a release for all those addicted to various vices. Referring to being in a mindset of the addictions inhibiting ones performance, therefore being negative. The song also covers those habits that don’t affect normal every day life. It goes both ways.
